This stove comes in a labeled box, very heavily packed this three boxes needing to be opened. The instructions are clear and easy to follow and there was plenty of cable end given to install with. This product was ordered for a granny flat we just created. We did need to run another 240 line but the unit installed well, working fine on the counter but preforms much better once recessed. The heating was even across each eye and decently effective at boiling water, only a little slower than a true stove. The reason for the loss of star is that the glass surface scratches easier than other glass top stoves that I have used and even using the correct cleaners, they do not buff out well. For its size, this unit works beautifully though.

I wasn't real sure about this product when I got it, but it surprised me. The construction feels solid, power cord is thick and durable, heats up fast, pretty easy to control, the included rubber feet install easily and feel durable, the works. I turned it on and within 5 seconds I was feeling the heat coming off the plate. There's also a vent on the back to release built up heat so be aware of where you place this and what's around it. I honestly can't complain. If you're looking for a portable cook top with a home like feel, this is the right choice.

The ceramic cooktop has rubber feet that I had to screw in. I used my power drill as I noticed I had to turn a lot to secure the rubber feet. The cooktop has two burners with a combined wattage of 2000 watts. The larger burner, 20 cm or about 7.8 inches in diameter, has a maximum of 1800 watts, but it decreases when I turn on the other burner, whose maximum is 900 watts and diameter is 16.5 cm or approximately 6.5 inches. Each burner has nine different heat settings, and I can set a timer for each simultaneously. When plugged in, I see one red light blinking. The control panel has plus and minus buttons and an on/off touch button for each burner. There is also a plus and minus button for the timer, a lock button, a timer button, and a power button to turn off the whole unit, which turns off all burners. To start cooking, I plug it in and press the "I" button. To turn a burner on, I press the corresponding on/off button. Even if I don’t know which on/off button controls which burner, I can see it almost instantly by the red light emitted by the burner. I can use the minus and plus buttons to choose between settings 0 and 9. To set the timer, I press the on/off button again, which won’t turn off the burner but selects it for timer control. Then I press the timer button and use the minus and plus buttons near the timer button to choose how many minutes the burner should cook. I notice it responds better when I’m using my thumb instead of my index finger. To make 10-minute increases or decreases, I press and hold either the minus or plus button. I can set a timer between 1 and 90 minutes. If I select 0 minutes, the timer gets canceled. The same principle works with temperature settings. If I want to turn off a single burner, I press the on/off button and decrease the heat setting to 0, and it will turn off. The ceramic cooktop can also be installed flush, but I use the provided legs and use it as a portable cooktop. The surface of the cooktop is smooth and totally flat. I can’t use cookware that has a round base; the pan or pot should have a flat base for efficient heating. According to the manual, the cooktop has overflow protection when liquid reaches the control panel. I haven’t seen it in action, but I guess it’s not very useful while using only the largest burner, which is 9 inches away. The small burner is right next to the control panel, and it would take little liquid to spill to turn off the cooktop. The cooktop doesn’t emit any odors, and I can clean its smooth surface quickly.

This portable stovetop has come in such handy since having it! I first got it to have some extra stovetop space while preparing Thanksgiving dinner, which made things so much easier while having several foods that needed to simultaneously be prepared! But since then, we’ve used it to cook outside and on the go. This is perfect for someone who might not have a stovetop, like small apartments or even an unhoused or nomadic person that can find a public place to plug in and heat up a meal. At the time I’m writing this review, it’s on sale for $109, normally $139. Which I think is reasonable for what it’s capable of doing. No complaints from me, it’s easy to use and makes my life easier when it comes to cooking
