After reading about a few different com posters, I decided on this one. It was a bit bigger than expected so it doesn't sit on the counter. It was very easy to setup, just pour in the packaged compost material and add water. Like previously mention it was a bit bigger than expected, so it took some time to fill the machine with leftovers/garbage. If you're bigger than 2/3 people this will be good for you. After a few months of usage, here are my takes. The noise level isn't bad you'll need to stand next to it to even notice it. No issue with odors coming out of the machine. when you do open it doesn't smell like garage. For me, it smells like bread that is rising. I've already started using the compost in my garden. Great way to reduce waste and give back.

Great results! I have had this composter for 6 months now and am highly satisfied. No more compost mess, no stink, no fruit flies, and we have nice, ready-to-spread compost on a regular basis, so clean I even use it for indoor plants. We used to have to empty our compost almost daily and now we empty it once a month—amazing how much the food condenses when dried and how well the enzymes work to break it down. The only time it started to smell bad I found out I could just wipe the residue off the air filter with a tissue and the problem was solved. I haven’t had to actually put in a new filter yet and it’s in continual daily use. I happily recommend this product.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I bought this product because reviewers described it as quiet. I am glad I purchased it. It IS quiet and now I no longer have any decomposing food products in my trash. I add it to my yard soil as part of fertilizing. Also there is no smell leaking from container. I also like the larger size so I don't have to clear out bin too often.

Silent, they aren't kidding, I can barely hear it sitting by it. I can lock the automatic lid lift, cats and dog. I can put more in it than I ever would, very happy with it.

I am giving this a four, only because I feel there is a bit of a learning curve I couldn’t find answers to online, or in any of the paperwork attached. Biggest question, do I like it. Yes we have had ours for a couple of months ago, long enough to run it through a cycle. What I did not realize is that the compost can’t be directly applied to my garden or planters until it is mixed - one part compost, 3 parts dirt and rotate to get it all to mix for three weeks before actually adding to my garden. I live in a house on a 1/4 acre lot, where that’s possibly. I ended up buying an old fashion rotating compost drum, and using that outside by our garden. The good thing about already being composted is there is no smell to the compost drum. But it does mean I buy top soil, or garden soil to mix with the compost. Did not plan on that.

A little to early to tell. But after a few weeks, it's performed as it promised. I love the fact that it's so quiet and that it's a true composting machine instead or a dehydrator machine The microbial pack is what sold it for me since it will assist in the decomposition of meats, cheese and other organic materials. This is the main selling point. And so far, it's been working great. I recently had an unused batch of homemade dog food that I had to dispose of and added it into the machine. 24 hours later, it's gone. Wow! Fibrous items like onion skins, and citrus rinds may take a while longer to decompose. But this machine is still worth the price for reducing waste that would normally go into the trash can.

I have been researching electric composters for a while, so I was super excited when I finally purchased the Reencle! I went through all of the good and bad reviews and decided it was worth a shot because I absolutely hate throwing away food, especially leftovers that can't be put into a traditional compost bin that we already have. In the beginning, it was GREAT! It was super easy to set up, you just plug it in and add the starter pack with water. I could put anything in it, and watched it turn into compost without any smells or mold. I made sure all the food was rinsed first before putting it into the bin and everything was cut up into pieces just as instructed in the manual. It never had a smell, the seal was great, and it held a lot of food! After 3 weeks of use, it started making a strange grinding noise. So I did all of the trouble shooting that was recommended. I added water to it to make sure the stirring bin wasn't too dry, I emptied out the bin to make sure nothing was wrapped around the stirring rods, I cleaned the filter thoroughly. But NOTHING made the noise go away. So I figured why not try to dry out the bin and maybe that's what the problem was because it was too thick (even though it was below the max line). Well, sure enough, the "purify" light started blinking red, and per the manual, that means there's something wrong with the fan and I needed to contact customer support. Considering this machine only comes with a 1 year warranty, and I'm already having problems after 3 weeks, I decided to return it to Amazon within the 30 day window. Because even if it gets fixed, it will probably eventually break again since it's constantly running and trying to break down food. I was so disappointed and sad! Now I'm back to square one looking for another electric composter that will actually help me decrease waste.

I have owned one for over one year and several days. During that time it has worked daily producing great compost, so much so that I no longer buy compost for my garden. 20 days after my warranty it failed. I used the online Reencle videos to see what happened and found that an issue might have been failure to secure some screws during assembly. I emailed the company with photos and instead of the usual brush off, they were concerned. After couple of more photos I now have a new replacement. Highly recommend this composter. They also offer extended warranty service at a price that might better suit your needs but you need to go to their website to sign up.
