Update: we’ve now used it a few times. Conditions have to be perfect snow, light and fluffy. It clears a consistent path fine but if u can spring for the two stage- just buy the two stage bundle. The two stage can do a skiff of snow and very heavy wet snow. If you don’t want two snow blowers…… We shopped around before buying, $999 is a fair price. We looked at Ace, Lowe’s, Home Depot & Costco. At Lowe’s & Ace they had them in store. This shipped right to our house, so convenient “) Box was pretty banged up but the machine was fine. Easy to assemble, mostly put together already, our 5 yr old even helped finish things up :) It’s light and can fit through the doorway easy. I don’t have to use the side gate, can be moved through the back door of the garage. We have a massive amt of cement, like 6 truck lengths, plus a roundabout, back driveway and patio. The batteries worked off one charge. We had abt 4 inches of snow to clear which usually takes us 1 hour to clear the front yard. This one blower knocked that out in 20 mins. I used the blower in the back yard a few hrs later, the snow was heavy and very wet it took abt 15 mins to clear a much smaller space. (We bought on Black Friday $999, on Cyber Monday, Ace hardware had the same bundle for $849….annoying- ck around) We live in Utah so we also bought the two-Stage blower, along with this one for both abt $1850. ... show more

!!!!!DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!!!! If you live in an area where you get real snow do not buy this. Maybe it's OK for an inch or two but for $1000 buy a gas powered snowblower. The auger propelled aspect is a joke. Also only really works on nice pavement. Any cracks it catches it will stop you. Unfortunately, even if you decide to buy this you cannot return it. even if you only tried it for a couple seconds. So you're screwed out of $1000 for a junk product that now will collect dust and take up space. Save yourself the complete and total frustration and do not buy. I'm now out $1000... ... show more

This lightweight snow blower is so easy to maneuver. It does a great job of moving snow. It’s surprisingly easy to assemble.

    • 45 ft With Powder Maybe!
This unit works for my 20 ft. Drive way and corner lots 4’ wide side walkers but it’s feels like they tested it with fresh powder snow on laser leveled concrete. The unit gets caught on near every bump/cut in the concrete. You’re not throwing snow 45’ if it’s snowing in 28-34 degrees. It’s not happening. The unit clogs the shoot often. If you throw snow at a 90 degree angle you’re clogging often. The shoot turning lever already broke and wont turn the shoot to the right. If I’m doing something wrong I’d love know, but this unit was not worth the money. ... show more

It’s not self-propelled. The idea of it being propelled by the blades is 100% true up to about 6-8”. I’m giving it to a daughter who lives near Auburn, NY and not in Buffalo. I love Ego products so I’m treating myself to the two stage monster.

1 Quit after second use. 2 nearest special ego mechanic 100 mile round trip x2 3 still have to pay for taxes on all parts and labor 4 does not work on uneven ground. If you don't have perfect pavement your going to have a workout. Catches on everything. 5 self propelled DOES NOT WORK !!!!!! 6 I bought this thing cause I had a heart attack. I made a bad choice don't do the same. 7 The Snow blower blows snow 45' ah no. Wisconsin heavy snow blew it only 4' yes 4' not 45' 8 I don't think this snow blower is up to the task. ... show more

    • Pleasant surprise
This blower has been a very pleasant surprise. It goes through 10" of snow very well and throws about as far as my single stage gas model. The batteries last more than long enough for my 8 car driveway. My wife talked me into getting this and I will have to say she was right. As a bonus she likes to use it and quite often beats me to it. :) I would buy it again. ... show more
