I would give this case 5 stars. I've only had it a few days but I do like it better than Lifeproof FRĒ SERIES case. This one doesn't let pocket lint inside the case its actually really well sealed. The finger print works well too no issues there. My only complaints are the side volume keys on the S9 are hard to press and it seems like the buttons are off alittle. My other reason is trying to get ahold of the rubber plug to take it out so you can charge your phone. It can be a challenge. Other than those two reasons I would recommend this case. ... show more

So 20 bucks is a hell of a deal. Fits my note 8 like a glove. Quality is pretty well for what you're paying the only things I don't like about it which other people will say the same thing the fingerprint scanner is a thin film that really needs to be beefed up a little bit but it works and it's great and people will complain about sound quality through this case but listen this case is meant to waterproof your phone you're not going to get a waterproof case and listen to your speakers too because the case has to seal the phone up 100% hence the name waterproof but with headphones it's no big deal, I work in the oil field and really need my phone protected from chemicals and stuff that made drop on the phone it's been doing a good job so far no issues if they just improved the film for the fingerprint scanner on the Note 8 especially for twenty bucks but I'll probably get one for my s22 ultra and that little film won't be a problem cuz there's no fingerprint scanner on the back but all in all it's a great case for 20 bucks definitely take a chance on it, and the last thing is I'm really digging these newer cases haven't lanyard holes to have little wrist lanyard so you don't drop your phone way better than OtterBox I've been with OtterBox for a long time and 50 bucks for the amount of protection you get is not worth it you get the same level of protection on this one except for the back cuz the back of the OtterBoxes are rubber and this one is clear but all in all the side bumper bumper protection is the same ... show more

I like how rugged this case looks and is. It is not bulky and looks sleek. Why I didn't give 5 stars: The part I don't like is where the stylus pen goes, the part that opens to give you access to it sticks out and comes open often. This also somehow makes my stylus pop out. My little one drops my phone a lot and the case protects my phone without incident. My phone recently fell in the bathrub in water. I grabbed it quickly and after drying the case and opening it, I found my phone was completely dry! I won't buy it again because of the part that covers the stylus, but it works for the time being. ... show more

Ghostek Nautical 2 for Sthe amsung Note 9: The case protection level is definitely as advertised, so there's no need to go over that... better to go straight to the points worth mentioning: 1). The screen protector is sturdy enough for scratch resistancen; however, it DOES NOT lay flush against the phone's screen, and the slight gap does cause an audible tap while typing. Furthermore, the S Pen requires a bit more deliberate pressure in order to avoid breaks while writing... I believe this can wear out the S pen's tip much quicker. I did find that both of these issues can be alleviated by installing a regular glass screen protector on the phone for use in conjunction with the case... touch responsiveness seemed just as good (and it was really good with just the case). 2). There is a slight gap (intentionality designed) between the back cover and the back of the phone (which seems to aid with drop protection); this does create a "hollow" effect when playing audio through the speaker, and a similar effect, albeit minimal, for listeners on the other end of the call. I consider these negligible, but worth mentioning; overall the phone call clarity and audio are good. 3). The headphone jack and charging port covers, at the bottom of the case, are very sturdy; they function as intended, but they require a bit of effort to open (they may work a bit too well, lol). The S Pen cover, however, is a pain to secure completely... there's definitely a methodical "trick" to get it to fit in place properly; if not done in the correct manner, it will work itself open quickly. In all fairness once all are fitted in place correctly they do stay put. I had no problems with using standard headphones, and I also use a nib for a magnetic charging cable... both fit easily into the ports (and the charging port cover secures easily with the nib in place). 4). I use a Samsung Duo wireless charger, and the phone will only wireless ky charge if placed on its side (horizontally) and centered on the charger. The case does add about 1/2 of an inch to the phone's height (added to the bottom half of the phone), and this raises it just enough to disallow charging while the phone is upright. I believe it will charge wirelessly, without problems, while on any flat charger. 5). The screen protector plastic is not at all oleophobic... prepare to wipe away... frequently. 6). Lastly, the buttons are positively responsive, but they do feel a bit stiff, and require a bit more force to press. Overall the case is worth the buy. The phone is suspended and securely cushioned within, and the case fitment is secure enough to not fall apart if dropped. The corner bumpers, tpu side grips, and raised edges will keep your phone well protected; the waterproofing worked as designed, and is but a backup feature for an already "waterproof" phone. There really is nothing flimsy about this case. ... show more
