After using the EGO Power+ 21" Electric Snow Blower for several snowstorms this season, I can honestly say it has been one of the best purchases I've made for winter maintenance. It combines impressive performance, cordless convenience, and excellent build quality into a machine that makes snow removal faster and much less stressful. One of the biggest advantages is the cordless design. Not having to deal with extension cords or gasoline is a game-changer. I simply charge the batteries, insert them, and I'm ready to go. The included two 56V 5.0Ah batteries provide plenty of runtime for clearing my driveway, sidewalks, and walkways, and I appreciate the freedom to move around without worrying about cords getting tangled or caught in the snow. The snow-clearing power exceeded my expectations. The steel auger cuts through packed snow with ease and throws it a surprisingly long distance. Whether dealing with light powder or heavier accumulations, the blower consistently performs well and gets the job done efficiently. I already have an EGO lawnmower (my first EGO tool), and an EGO string trimmer. They are both powerful and excellent. I've never had a good relationship with gas-powered lawn equipment, so I've been using electric for about 30 years. But I'd never tried battery-powered before, because, you know, how can they possibly be any good? Well, the lawnmower and trimmer proved EGO's worthiness. They are both the most powerful tools of their kind I've ever used, gas-powered, electric or otherwise. But a snowblower? I live toward the top of Maine, about a half-hour from where I-95 ends. We get snow. I've been renting here for two years, and snow removal was included. But now my partner and I own a house and we need to take care of snow removal myself. I've never done that! I've done some shoveling, but not any other kind of snow removal. Because of my lack of personal knowledge of snow blowing, I relied on videos and recommendations from others. I was pretty sure I wanted a snowblower, because I don't want to deal with a plow guy. I sure did appreciate the plow guy at the place we rented. He did a great job. But I didn't like being stuck until he came by (which was always very timely, but still...), and that's not to mention that I still had to shovel out my truck after he'd gone. So ... snowblower. But the EGOs are so expensive? I know, I know, it's really the battery prices that are high, and I justified the price with the fact that even if the snowblower was not good enough, I could still use the two 7.5 batteries that came with it in my other EGO equipment. I was not sure, though, whether to get the single-stage or two-stage blower. Ultimately, I could not justify the cost of the two-stage snowblower, and I reasoned that even if I decided later that I need the two-stage, I could buy it without batteries, and use the batteries I have. (I don't think that was well-reasoned, because I now believe the two-stage really needs bigger batteries, but it is what it is.) Anyway, I am here to say that my EGO single-stage snowblower is very impressive. It's light. It has cut through and blown 3 to 5 inches of snow covering a rather large driveway arc (probably about 150 feet long), plus a couple pathways to the front and back doors, and three parking spots, and the two 7.5 batteries that came with it last the entire session (and more). The first snow we had was a wet one, and I was a bit concerned because the snow was being removed, but not blowing too far. The next couple storms, though, were cold and dry, and this EGO single-stage was throwing the snow long and far! (Btw, I am very glad I bought the model with the steel auger, because I have a rough drive way -- it's paved like a regular street, i.e. not concrete, and is probably a good 40 years old. There are a lot of rough patches on it with rocks and some grass.) The upshot is that I have not tested this snowblower beyond about 5 inches of snow yet, but I feel very confident with its power in dry snow of probably up to about 10 inches. If we have a storm that will dump more, which is not common even up here, I may be outside mid-snowfall to clear half of it before the other half falls, but I'll be having a hellagood time doing it with my EGO snowblower!

I would give this snow blower a 10 if I could! We have had a very intense snow season in Northeast USA this winter (2025/26) and the reason I am still alive and not bankrupt yet is this machine!! We already had a couple of heavy snow blizzards that dumped 2 feet or more snow each time and this machine with some maneuvering dug me out of all the snow in my driveway. If I hired someone to clean all the snow we received, I would have already paid more than the price of this machine in this season alone!! So the machine has already paid for itself! Pros: 1. Great power. Throws snow away a great distance! 2. Great control. Being able to control the snow throwing distance, direction and angle all from the handle is amazing flexibility!! 3. Great battery capacity. With two large batteries and 6AH output, this machine is a beast! Can do my driveway in single charge for upto one foot of snow. More than that would require a recharge, but zero to full recharge is about hour and 20 minutes. So no problem at all!! 4. Heated handle: another life saver feature for the cold. When you have to clean at close to zero F temperature, the heated handles come really handy! 5. The lights! Another great feature if you have to clean in the dark!! Cons: 1. When the amount of snow is more than a feet, pushing this thing requires strength. I highly recommend this machine!!

First, all the date codes say August 2022, so Amazon doesn't have these sitting around somewhere for a few years. As with most Ego products, they are relatively new and sought after so they aren't hanging on shelves for many years. The mowers and the snowblowers at least. I did check out my local lowes, they had about 4 of these and 1 bigger model, not a big selection tbh. So I'm happy I got it now, before it snows and everyone is looking for one. They will sell out eventually like they always do. There's something to be said about opening a box, attaching a chute, charging batteries and being ready to go. That is the major upside to an Ego (or any battery operated product). This thing goes together like a dream. The batteries are very durable looking and easy to use. Everything just slides on and slides off. The people that designed these machines deserve an award, honestly, its pretty fn amazing. You can see the battery level on the batteries as you are going, which is nice, until it gets covered with snow. Eventually you will know its capabilities for your property. To top off the greatness, Amazon offered me an option I've never seen to pay for it in 5 payments through them, not some 3rd party company. So similar to Affirm or the like, but no interest which is amazing for bigger items. Amazon is amazing for this. Maybe Bezo is actually thinking about people in these hard times (however im sure its only to be competitive). The only loss of 1 star is because the box looked to be opened and it was tapped back together in a slightly shady manner. However, it doesn't look to be used at all nor does it appear the batteries were ever used (they are the newer style with multiple green lines to know how much is left in them). The people who delivered it, were very good, they were in a ryder truck (so no idea who the heck Amazon has delivering these items or where they actually come from) but its whatever if it works lol. Maybe they open the box just no one can claim something is missing? Would be my best guess. Everything is still all wrapped up and the in place and nothing was marred up or anything. Its a snow blower so as long as it works idr care I guess. That was my only reason for subtracting 1 star. If Amazon does check the product out (which is fine) be transparent about it. We check the item to ensure all parts are included, soemthing like that would be nice. Anyway, we'll see how it does this winter. I will update when we get our first snow fall. Im not going to charge these batteries until I know the snow is coming. They come shipped with 2 bars of power so I did test the machine n it appears to function properly. Fwi to all who use lithium batteries O have been using batteries like this for many years in the RC world (not this big obviously). When you store this machine for the summer, it is best to have roughly 40% to 60% charge in these batteries. Regardless of what they tell me to do, I will not be storing these long term fully charged. Where I work they have 2 of these and 2 lawnmowers and the people that use em do not care at all about them, because the state will buy more kinda mentality. That is what pushed me to purchase mine and these have proven themselves there. The only real issue anyone ever truly has is battery life/expectations were to high for battery life. If you have anything battery powered running full throttle, ofcourse u will get less time out if. That will be the only limiting factor for anyone. If, you end up going all ego, then buy all the machines that come with batteries and eventually you will have a nice stock pile of batteries ready to go. I would love to see a new charger with the option to be able to change charge rate, discharge, storage mode, quick charge, and balance (they know the majority of consumers cannot process this unfortunately) so it makes sense they dont. It would increase the longevity of these batteries big time. I have lipo batteries for my rc planes that are easily 10 years old with many cycles and min degradation.

First, let me say that I was not expecting too much from this snowblower. I've owned a John Deere compact utility tractor with a 42" 2-stage snow thrower attachment for more than 2 decades, but after a down-sizing move (empty nesters) I had to sadly sell the tractor, so for the past 2 years I've been using a shovel. I finally got sick of that, and started to research snowblowers. As this is a single-stage snowblower, I was not expecting much, even with the higher price. I definitely didn't want to get one of those tiny 8-12" units; although they are less pricey, I doubt they do much more than shift around light 2-3 inches of snow. Right out of the box, this was easy to set up; the only thing you have to attach is the auger, which is easy. Honestly, the hardest part was taking this out of the box; it's well packaged, which of course means that it's harder to get out. It took me all of 20 minutes to get this out of the box/attach the auger. The batteries charge very quickly; the charging base is ROBUST and charges the batteries fully within about a half hour, which means that, in the event that you're getting snow storm after snow storm, this is a good tool...I was worried about running out of juice, the one downside to an electric vs a gas model. Our first snow was about 5" of a wet, heavy snow. I was concerned about it being so heavy that it would overwhelm this unit. I was wrong! This baby went through it with aplomb, and I was able to do my whole driveway with one charge (we have a 3-car driveway), as well as our front walkway. I'm not going to tell you that it threw this heavy snow 20 feet like my tractor used to, but it threw it a good 5 feet, which allowed me to then throw the snow far enough so a 2nd run blew it into the lawn. So, basically, I did more than just one pass with just the one charge on the batteries. This DID drain the batteries completely. Since then, we've had a variety of snow, from 2-3" of a light snow, to again 6" of heavy wet snow. This unit is best suited for 4-6" of a light snow; in this instance, this unit will throw the snow 20 feet or more when the auger is situated correctly. Speaking of the auger, this is one of the things that sets this unit apart from others, IMO. It has a lever on the handle that you can adjust on the fly, which makes snowblowing that much faster; we live in an area that's pretty windy, so you have to be smart about how you do the job; it's actually easier to use in windier conditions as you can set the auger to blowing farther up in the air, and let the wind do more work for you. This is when the lever to rotate the auger from right to left is so handy; instead of having to stop and crank a knob or something, you simply pull the lever up or push it down. A couple things I really like about this unit; You can tell the charge state of the batteries as there's a loop of 6 LED lights on the top (1 for least charge and 6 for fully charged), there's an LED light on the unit that is really handy at night, and the unit FEELS very light (it's actually not...pick it up fully and you'll realize that), because it's very well balanced. Finally, one of the things that surprised me about this unit is that the blades are metal, so this will grind up larger chunks of snow (that the plow leaves behind in your driveway) pretty well, and it gets down to the driveway pretty well, so you're not leaving behind snow that turns to packed ice when you drive over it. Overall, I'm VERY pleased with this unit, so had to write a review. If you're like me and want to try and be more environmentally conscious, but are concerned about a battery-operated unit not being able to cut it, this unit is well worth the price, IMO. It's midway between those cheap battery units that I've never used, but I feel will just take up space in your garage because it doesn't work, and the larger 2-stage units that cost twice as much. I don't expect this to take down 12" drifts in a single pass, but hopefully you don't expect that, either. For 90% of the snow we'll get each year, I think this unit is the perfect solution.

The cheap, plastic Scraper Bar wears out easily and has to be replaced to keep the metal parts of the underside from grinding away on the pavement. For me, this was after 3 uses. The unit does not come with skid feet to help keep the scraper bar from being damaged. The lack of skid feet also means that you will be slammed to a halt every time the unit runs across an uneven spot in the pavement. To add skid feet, you must buy aftermarket parts, drill holes in the unit (often requiring you to file the hole square to accommodate carriage bolts), and attach the skid feet yourself. There are dozens of You-Tube Videos addressing this problem and work around. Or you could but a new scraper bar every three uses, flip the machine on its side to unscrew the old one, and screw on the new one. The unit also throws a ton of snow (wet and powder) forward as well as back into previously cleared areas. I had to keep my garage door closed to keep a layer of snow from being ejected into it, and I had to redo entire sections. I never had these problems with my Greenworks cordless snow blower. I had the Greenworks unit for six years and never had to replace the scraper blade, I could leave my garage door open, never had to redo a section. The only reason I switched was because my previous cordless snow blower was a little underpowered and the battery life was starting to become an issue. I didn't even know about skid feet and scraper bars until I started having issues with my new Ego. Other models of Ego Snowblowers have skid feet. If I had known about these problems, I would have picked one of those. I don't know why they would even make a model without them. It seems like with all the You-tube videos out there addressing the problem they must know about it. I am severely disappointed The battery life of the Ego snow blower is vastly superior. I was going to switch all my lawn equipment out to Ego because I like having only one brand of battery to keep track of and also to have extra batteries available. The lack of durability and the fact that they are offering products with what seems like a well known issue has me rethinking.

I can NOT believe how much better this snow blower works over my HUGE gas snow blower. Finally we found a snow blower that will get all the snow and ice/salt from the end of the driveway and snow plow craziness. My wife will be doing the driveway for several months while I have a knee replacement. She couldn't handle the weight of the big metal beast and the EGO is has more maneuverability and functions beyond what the metal beast can do. This moves so much snow so much more easily. I have had EGO push mower for almost 10 years and she loves that so I was hoping she would be able to use the snow blower! Not only can she use this, she has a 90% torn rotator cuff and it did no extra harm to her. Yes her surgery is up next. This is another amazing product from EGO and living in upper IL where we get a good amount of snow this saved us from having to hire a guy for $100 we were quoted per snow event. I would have done that, but my wife insisted she wanted to do this herself. After 3 snow events in 3 days she listed the red beast for sale. Our driveway holds about 6 cars and the EGO snow blower was impressive! After blowing leaves the day before we got a snow storms now she is wanting the leaf blower also. If you have the right tools it just makes life easier. This coming from a 62/61 year old people who don't want to give up on doing anything yet! I can't get over how much better this works and moves snow with ease. The snow we had last night was light/fluffy/dry after 12 inches 2 days ago and she is now wanting the EGO shovel for the deck and/or even the leaf blower. After using 3 leaf blowers to do leaves and not getting done she is demanding at the least the blower because the batteries can all be interchanged. Funny when you think we wouldn't need the leaf blower since we have zero trees, however, we live right across from a cemetery full of trees and we get nailed worse and worse as the years go on. Also dog approved for no smell and not even half the sound!

Anything EGO is awesome!! They make the best products. I have many EGO machines. I bought this snow blower to complete my 3-snow blower set. I have a gas powered one for thicker snow over 8" and ice and a smaller 1 battery SKIL unit for my deck only. This one will be used for 8" or less for my 2 driveways which are 190 feet and 80 feet long. Super quiet and some many features on it. I love it. The turbo mode is awesome!! You can control the speed of the auger. No other snow blower has this feature at this size and weight. I really like the heated handles as well as the control handle to move the snow chute 180 degrees. The two-battery system is perfect for this one. I think it will last run time 1-2 hours. This will be perfect. Since I only need 1 hour to dop both driveways. The size is perfect. The handle is at the perfect height. I love the LED lights as well. Super bright. Overall, I am very impressed with all EGO products as I have many in my line up. The padal is super thick and made very well. Unlike the snow blowers that I have seen, these are so much thicker and better assembled. This unit needed no assembly at all. Just remove it from the box and go. I do like the dual 7.5Ah batteries. There is a lower model with dual 5.0Ah batteries but this is not enough run time for my set up. The performance should be good. I will have to test this out when I get snow in November. I know it will be good; I can tell. Overall, I highly recommend this to anyone. You get what you pay for. I know it cost more than other snow blowers but the quality cannot be beat.
