A friend of mine has one and recommended it to me. I have a back-pack gas unit, but no longer want to use it and the electrics I have owned left a lot to be desired in so far as battery life. It's powerful, but don't ask it to do what a gas unit can do. It will move thick, wet clumps of leaves, but it wouldn't be my choice if there was a lot of them. Like most electrics, it works best on smooth surfaces, but I did tackle the rock drive and it was fine. Don't get me wrong; this IS a powerful blower and I have no problem recommending it as all around blower and if I only had one, this would be it. The battery is the heart of this blower, but with that power comes weight. I will be getting a nice shoulder strap for it. Someone commented that it was not balanced well. I disagree. When you hold it to do work, it is tilted at exactly the angle I want to use for blowing leaves. Drying a car? I have no idea. I like the trigger for sure, but the feature I liked the most was the dial that set continuous power to whatever is needed. You can add power by pulling the trigger. I can run it for twenty minutes at maybe 30% (using the trigger sometimes) and only use about 20% of the charge. The battery is wicked big and has a charger to match; with a cooling fan no less. Charge level is indicated on the battery in 20% increments. I like it and would buy it again, but like I said, it's heavy. Hope this helps! ... show more

The blower performance is great, just as good if not better than my previous gas blower. It is pretty light and with the strap, it is easy to carry and handle. This was a great value as a limited time offer from Amazon! The extra battery, shoulder strap and nozzles was a real plus! This sure beats buying gas and that goes along with using my old gasoline powered blower. There’s more than enough power to move leaves and small debris. This product is great. Really moves the yard debris and is unusually quiet. Easy to use. Weight isn’t an issue particularly with the shoulder strap. Great performance and battery is more than adequate for my application.

The battery lasts for 1 to 1.5 hours on max power with occasional use of turbo mode. The shoulder strap is easy to use and removes strain, but it can certainly be used strapless by an average man or woman with some wrist strength. Using it on turbo reminds me of a gas powered motor, but the max power without turbo does a decent job at blowing leaves and twigs around. It's not loud enough to warrant ear muffs and is not very audible in the house when it's being used outside. My only wish is that the battery lasted longer. It fully charges around an hour and lasts about an hour of blowing, which I guess is fair enough if you regularly maintain the leaves and have a small yard. ... show more

This guy is heavy, especially with that giant battery, but the shoulder strap makes it easy to handle. It is SERIOUSLY powerful, too. I had to reduce the setting as it was making my 1" rocks blow away. It is easy to use, the additional attachments add to its versatility, and I love that it is cordless. The EGO Power+ leaf blower with 5000 mAhr battery is an excellent piece of yard equipment. This was the first EGO 56 Volt product I purchased and I've been using it for over 9 months without any negative issues. The blower is well balanced and the 5000 mAhr6 battery provides more than enough energy. I've been using the unit pretty much daily to clear leaf litter etc from my carport and entry areas. I also use it a couple of times a week to clear leaf litter from my driveway. I previously bought some ryobi battery yard tools that were just ok. Build quality and battery life were not the best but it was a tiny yard in So FL so didn’t need much. Now with over 1/4 acre and lots of trees out back, I decided to try this ego based on many reviews. I’ve been really happy with it. The default power level is generally enough to clear leaves from the lawn with a few power bursts as they eventually build up. Battery life was better than I expected for nearly constant blowing stopping only to switch hands. When the battery gave out, I was mostly done and ready for a break. A few days later I cleared off the new fallen leaves and some residual leaves plus I cleared the front lawn and driveway with the one charge with a bit of power left over for short session the next day. On my third full charge now and it does well for a minor cleanup every few days. I’m really happy I decided on this 650 model. Build quality, the plastic parts, the fit and finish all seem to be high quality. Come spring, I’ll probably get one of their mowers. Batteries are pretty expensive but avoiding the gas and oil for this size lawn makes sense for me. ... show more
