The Ego LB650 blower lasted less than five months with minimal use and then just plain quit. Contacted EGO customer service waited 45 min on hold and finally opted for a call back when my turn came up, I recieved a call from them the next day, over 24 hrs later. The customer service rep infomed me the product must be registered and I would need to foreward them proof of purchase and from who I bought it ( AMAZON) which I did immedatly after my coversation with the service rep, and almost one month later I havent heard back from them even though I messaged them requesting an update on my warranty service request. In my opinion this is very poor customer service. I currently own four Ego products and three Ego batteries, but dont plan on buying any more if this is an example of customer service. Read the other reviews, I did but purchased Ego anyway, my mistake. If there are any positive updates I will post them but at this time and according to other costomer reviews I am not expectng to recieve any response, especially a positive one. Update my review, finally received my new EGO leaf blower replacement under their product warranty after having to send them proof of purchase a second time and doing a phone trouble shooting conference with a technician. They sent me a new upgraded blower because I was to far from an authorized EGO service facility. This all took a while but they did fulfill their warranty obligation so I am changing my rating to a five star. I have five other EGO products that I love and no problems with. ... show more

    • Do not purchase this product!
Used the blower 3-4 times and it stopped working! Poor customer support! Contacted manufacturer and they told me to take it to a certified dealer in my area. Technician has had blower for months now with no fix! The manufacturer has refused to help or replace a faulty unit! Very disappointed! Will never buy anything from this company again ... show more

I had a small collection of Ego tools prior to getting divorced...and until recently I no longer had that small collection. The ex-wife really wanted them and I was nice enough to give them to her (okay, so the true story is a little more complex than that, but I digress...) I'd been antsy to get my Ego setup back, after having tried and utilized several other brands and models, including battery and gas-powered. I fix small engines on the side for fun and overall, prefer those for most cases. However, there are a few things where I think a good battery setup is superior, and trimmers and blowers are a couple of those areas. My general toolkit consists of Ridgid products, and I did a LOT of research on the new offerings for a trimmer/blower they have. It would have made some sense so I could inter-change the batteries on all my tools...but at the cost and the reviews I saw out there, I couldn't justify doing that and simply went back to the Ego products. They're not light, but they're well-balanced and easy to use. You can get some great deals with high-capacity batteries and I jumped on a couple of those. The batteries are great and the trimmer has power to spare. I can fully blow off the driveway, the patio, the excess that inevitable gets in the road from mowing and still have battery life left. I use this blower with the added short nozzle from Amazon and while it's not quite as good as the dryers on the out side of the automated car washes, it blows off a fair amount of water and only requires me to towel-dry a little bit, and cut my time probably by 75%. I can't say that I've tried every brand out there, but for the performance and value you'd have a hard time convincing me that you're going to do better than Ego. ... show more

    • Dead before 20 uses
When I first used the blower I thought it was great for what I needed. I have had it for a year and used it about once a month to clean off the sidewalk and driveway and blow out my little garage. Yesterday, after mowing the yard, I was using the blower when I noticed the battery blinking red and then the blower stopped. I put in a different battery, but the blower would not work. I tried a third battery, but that did not work either. I tried all three batteries in a different Ego tool and they all worked and were all charged. After reading through various forums and seeing other folks with similar issues, coupled with the fact that it has been a year since I purchased it, I have little faith that Ego will do anything about it. ... show more

    • Not Great on Fall Yard Clean-up. Downgraded Rating from 5 to 3
UPDATE 1: Works good but uses battery power much faster than you can imagine. I have 4 batteries and use one after another blowing leaves. After a few minutes I have them all charging. Make sure several high Amp Hour batteries fully charged if you have to blow leaves for 20-40 minutes. Update 2: Had to fall back on my gas blowers to get Fall cleanup done quickly and easily - even with 4 batteries to change out. The gas blowers, both the 4 stroke and 2 stoke, were more successful in moving the fallen leaves. DON'T GET RID OF YOUR GAS BLOWERS IF YOU HAVE A LOT OF LEAF BLOWING TO DO! There is one thing to remember about the Ego battery system. Most manufacturers use lower voltage batteries. Ego is 56V. Much of Dewalt tools are 20V. Now why is that important. Because the manufactures fail to tell you the real POWER a battery/tool combination has. They like to list 2AH or 4AH or 5AH. Those amp ratings are only part of the answer about power. To get the real power number multiply Amps x Voltage to get Watts or Power. With the Ego batteries at 56V they are over 2 1/2 times more powerful for the same Amp Hour rating. Manufactures should be listing both Amp Hours and Watts/Power. ... show more
