We recently added this EGO Power+ LB4800 480 CFM 3-Speed Turbo 56-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Electric Blower to our collection of yard tools, and we are very pleased with its performance. We already had a battery from our EGO weed whacker, so the fact that this model doesn’t include a battery or charger wasn’t an issue for us. The blower works well for our residential needs. Our driveway and sidewalk area aren’t very large, so the 480 CFM power is more than adequate for keeping everything clean and tidy. The 3-speed settings, including the turbo mode, provide great versatility depending on the task at hand, from clearing light debris to more stubborn leaves. One thing we particularly appreciate is the moderate noise level. It's not overly loud, which is great and makes it more comfortable for us to use on the weekends in our neighborhood. Another standout features is its cordless convenience. Without the hassle of a cord, maneuvering around our yard is effortless. The blower is lightweight and easy to handle, making the final set of our yard work a breeze. The battery life from our existing EGO battery is impressive and lasts long enough to be used in our weed wacker then to the blower without needing a recharge. This is a good little blower. I pulled it out of the box the day it arrived and plugged in the battery and was good to go. It's quiet and has ample power for blowing grass clippings and leaves. The turbo boost feature has quite a bit of kick, too. This is also a handy tool to clear sawdust out of the work area after a project. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase.     • Best purchase I've made in a while.
I bought this, the edger, and the hedge trimmer. I now loathe the years of struggle with other electric cord, battery,and gas powered units. These units are powerful, safe (safety triggers with slight start delay for accidental trigger pulls), well-designed, and effective. Importantly, the battery lasts a LONG time and charges quickly. (e.g. If you have a regular size yard, you need buy only one unit with the battery and charger....You can change it out very easily. If you have a large yard or tasks, you could buy a spare battery and the other will be charged by the time the in-use one dies). The charger/battery also have built-in battery protection (including overcharge, so you can leave it in the charger); We'll see how many hours-worth of use I can get from one. I'm looking forward to taking the battery/charger inside for the winter and using the blower to clear the driveway and sidewalk on those light snow dusting days. (The blower is as powerful as many last gas unit). If you're comparing prices, watch out for those that sell NONE of the units with the battery and charger and then charge a small fortune for them separately. ... show more

    • Not as heavy as I expected, fortunately
I have owned a EGO Power battery lawnmower for many years and have been happy with it. When my electric leaf blower died recently, I decided to get an EGO Power leaf blower and share the battery and charger that I already had for my lawnmower. I was concerned that the large battery would make the unit uncomfortably heavy, but that has not been the case.     • Beware: Batteries!
Most people may be aware of this, but just beware: You still need to buy batteries for this! The cost of the battery alone is more than the cost of this blower. Also, you need to purchase separate charger as well (also not a small expense). This is something I wasn’t initially aware of, but bit the bullet and did it all anyway. After going through those extra expenses, I’m very happy with the blower itself. It’s very lightweight, fairly powerful (way more than enough for my use) and lasts a long time for me as well. But don’t be silly like me and purchase this if you don’t already have (or expect to purchase) batteries/chargers. ... show more

    • Second Blower for the Back
I have been on the EGO bandwagon for some time. I bought one that failed after a year and Home Depot replaced it. I have used the latest one for about two years and managed to snag a hedge trimmer, two more batteries and one more charger at a Home Depot sale in the mean time (the hedge trimmer is awesome, BTW). Yet, because my back yard and front yard are widely separated, AND because I use blower almost every day it was inevitable that would buy a second blower (this time without the battery). This blower is unlike anything you've ever used. First, it works really well and really fast. I mean "better than any 100V electrical blower and better than all but the big gas powered machines. Secondly, it doesn't have any cords and never needs gassed or "started up.". Clean up the driveway? 2 minutes start to finish. Nice Saturday heavy sawdust project? Works great. Don't be fooled by lower powered equipment. It just doesn't work. Finally, to those that complain about the battery life? A second battery will make your life much better. Watch Home Depot (sorry Amazon), they put these on "sale" from time to time. Well not actually "sale" but they will thrown in an extra batter ($130.00 on its own) ... show more

    • Perfect Modern-Day Blower
I have an Ego lawnmover and weedeater... the finest lawn machines I've ever owned, so it was time to add a blower to the trifecta. As expected, it's a wonder. Great power, battery lasts a good while and then easily enough recharges... and I love how you can push a button to engage and as you walk around, then turn it off.
