    • A Beast of a machine!
I bought this when it was at a 30% discount but I would of bought this at full price after using it. I bought this a week ago and I have to say, this is the tool of the year in my family. It cut plants and shrubs with ease but be warned, your shoulder are going to get a workout! I did not get a battery since I had a bigger battery from my ego lawn mower already, that may be a mistake since it makes the machine heavier and harder on the shoulders. If you can, get the smallest battery possible or maybe get the EGO backpack battery. In my case, my shoulders always gave out before the machine ever did. Luckily this took a manual shrub pruning job from a two hour event down to a 20 minute event. Its quick, strong, and not the loud. Overall, I love this machine. If you decide to get it, the best trick is to make smaller passes just shaving the bush down little by little. For bigger pieces, about 1" or bigger, use a saw or loopers as this machine will rip and tear bigger branches. Not a fault of the machine, you just need to use the right tool for the job. For the quality of job and ease of use, this machine has great value and should be an essential tool in your landscaping tool box. ... show more

This trimmer works great. It's quiet, well balanced and light weight (even when using the 10 Ah Batteries,) when compared to similar size trimmers that I've used/owned in the past. I am slowly replacing all of my lawn equipment with EGO tools as my existing tools die. I find them ALL, so far, to be of excellent quality, reliable , and including the features that I need. I will never go back to gas. I waited a long time for battery powered tools to meet the performance of the standard Gas tools--- I have had a four stroke Troybilt Trimmer+ for many years now and though the power unit is still running great, the attachments are finally giving out. Gas mowers never lasted more than a few years before needing a major overhaul. My EGO Blower and mower are Six years young and still run perfect (and the batteries have not, noticeably, lost any capacity. I can mow an acre of highish grass on a single charge.) An EGO 18 inch chain saw is probably next...mines smoking some...?? I Highly recommend the EGO brand tools including the HT2600 26-Inch Hedge Trimmer. ... show more

Such a great tool! I’ve used it for a few types of projects and it performs very well. It does very well as a hedge trimmer. That one’s obvious. It also does really well at trimming overgrown weeds / brush at the edge of my yard. A big unexpected bonus use. It is very large - it’s built incredibly well - and looks great. The ability to go anywhere without the power cord is very valuable. And this thing is so powerful with the replaceable EGO batteries. But if you’re at the point of adding the hedge trimmer to your collection, you already know that :) ... show more

Works really good just what I needed. Just bought the lawnmower and it also works good. Nice not playing with gas and oil. Don’t get me wrong I can tell the difference in power electric verses gas but it’s plenty enough for me still gets the job done no problems. I’m hoping to ad to my ego tools. Batteries are expensive but there supposed to last a long time ... show more

Trimming my bushes became easier. Safety features prevents unintentional use and it was long enough to get the hard to get at spots for my bushes. Weight is manageable (I'm elderly) and noise levels are low enough to here the kids coming down the street. Since it takes the Ego batteries ( I have several Ego devices), I have no problem with power. And unit does not appear to use a lot of power. And I thing cordless is always the way to go, especially when climbing ladders. And also allows the unit to be maneuverable even with te length. And value for the money is always the best part. ... show more

    • Better than any gas trimmers that I have used.
This thing is amazing, It cuts as good as any gas model I've used without the noise. I was thinking it was awkward when you turned it up vertical, but when i pulled the second trigger which I thought would lock it on, I was pleasantly surprised that it rotated the head 90 degrees in either direction. This made life so much easier. I would recommend it to anyone in the market for this type of tool. It is quiet like a sewing machine and strong as any of the gas machines . ... show more
