Bought this last year to use with my eGo 2-stage snow blower. Used several times during the winter and them stowed them away with a full charge. This size is great. The smaller batteries burn out quick it feels like the 56volt last 4x as long while only being 2x the capacity. Expensive but worth it if you need cordless.

Just got 2 of these last week to replace my 4 year old batteries. I was surprised to get the new version with the power gauge. Both charged normally on my EGO chargers and I have used one for some mowing. It worked great. Still expensive, but a much lower price than direct from EGO.

    • unusual battery
i bought an ego power station with two 7.5. i ordered the older 5.0 amp for my third battery. after a couple of hours of charging the screen shows charging complete. i turned on the ego power station and to my disbelief the new battery was flashing red orange green. i checked the online remedy for this and could find no solution. i then tested the power output with my 21 cu ft fridge and gained a couple of hours at 18.3 hours of run time when the fridge was idling. fridge then kicked in and starting running its 750 watts. the display screen on the ego power station went down to 5.3 hours run time. not bad since the solar generator runs at 2.5 hours run time for a 650 watt output. i finally found out in the users manual that the older ego batteries g1 and older do flash red orange green on the ego power station and is considered normal. i gained a few hours of run time by adding a third battery. after all this , i may need to buy a backup gas generator for longer runtimes. the solar charger for the power station is coming out in a month or two. but that does not solve the problem of long term power outages. ... show more

I needed to purchase a weed trimmer that, with one extra battery, would last for two hours. I live in an RV park where the membership has a workday as part of the expectations of being a member. It is a two-hour workday and having a weed trimmer that can work for two hours was important. So far this fits the bill for us. And the trimmer's power matches that of our gas-powered trimmer. The battery is quite expensive. I am not sure what my expectations should be for a battery that costs over $200 but it should run more than one hour as far as I am concerned. ... show more

Already have one of these batteries - I wanted a second one to keep on the charger, so I always have a spare. These batteries work great. Ego makes great electric lawn and garden products.

Second ego battery died within 18 months. No way I’m paying $250 for a battery every year. Put all my ego yard tools for sale and none wants them!
