I own several Eco power batteries from 2.5 amp hour to 6 amp hour. I use them a lot on multiple pieces of equipment. I have had this battery for a few months now. The battery life is good for the ego trimmer and blower. I have the standard charger and it takes about an hour to charge. Run times vary between equipment. Batteries in general are expensive - watch for them to go on sale!

As my existing batteries for my EGO tools get used over time, they inevitably lose their charge and I grumble at the thought of paying for a new expensive battery. Sitting between the 5.0 and 2.5 Ah batteries, the 4.0 Ah model is a great secondary battery. It’s the best of both worlds: great for the mower while the 5.0 Ah is recharging and great as an extended battery for the multi-head, trimmer, or blower without the hefty weight attaching the 5.0 Ah battery. These batteries are absolutely useless on my snow blower! I really regret buying the entire system, it's NOT worth the cost. I bought two of ego power+ 56v 4ah batteries about a year ago along with ego 24in 2-stage snow blower and dual charger. When my old gas powered snow blower started to crap out on me, I'd figure i would invest in something eco friendly. Unfortunately I didn't find out how bad these batteries are until I started to use them this winter. Well long story short, it takes over an hour to charge but only last 15 minutes, and with lowest power settings. If I try to use turbo setting, it would get over heated and shut down immediately. Normally taking 2-3 hours to clear my sidewalk and driveways now take 3 days! Worst part is when I called for help, they just told me "too bad, you bought the wrong batteries". ... show more
