As my existing batteries for my EGO tools get used over time, they inevitably lose their charge and I grumble at the thought of paying for a new expensive battery. Sitting between the 5.0 and 2.5 Ah batteries, the 4.0 Ah model is a great secondary battery. It’s the best of both worlds: great for the mower while the 5.0 Ah is recharging and great as an extended battery for the multi-head, trimmer, or blower without the hefty weight attaching the 5.0 Ah battery. I'd give it zero Stars of I could.... This battery was fine the first couple of times but there after it has become inconsistent and problematic. It used to mow my entire small front lawn and half my small back lawn and now most days it will mow half my front lawn and other days it will only mow a couple rounds . I regret buying an electric mower. I will say that the smaller battery that came with my mower is more consistent but not great. ... show more

This battery is a whole lot better than the one i had. It doesn’t take me long to blow my drive way off. I am 80 years old and when I put this battery in my Ego it doesn’t make it any heavier. This battery is bigger than the one I had.
