This item came new in original packaging with literature. While the compatible aftermarket batteries and chargers are cheaper and work well, Milwaukee batteries seem denser and hold a longer charge (and take a little longer to charge) than the aftermarkets. My Milwaukee chargers will charge the aftermarket batteries and vise versa. I find the original Milwaukee batteries are best suited for tools that pull a lot of power such as impacts and saws whereas the aftermarket batteries work well for lighter duty, occasional tasks. This charger and battery set was a great value as my local hardware store can’t sell this item for what I paid and had delivered to my doorstep. The Milwaukee 6Ah Red Lithium batteries have more than enough power and reserve capacity for my needs. I’m very satisfied. ... show more

I was leery that these would not be the true Milwaukee. Battery and charger, but they are and work as they should. Battery holds a good charge. Charger works well. At a great price, I bought it on sale.
