Style: w/(2) 4.0Ah Batteries, Select Cut
The media could not be loaded. I think the video speaks for its self this mower is 100 times better then any gas mower I had i bought the one with X2 4ah battery's and my yard is huge you can see it got out of control because the GAS mower I bought just 1 year ago stopped working and I changed the carb and everything still trash didn't start and im starting to swap my life style over to a more green energy source so I decided to try a electric one the videos I watched a reviews I seen made it a no brainer I had to have it and im not disappointed at all this is truly great the range of the 4ah battery isnt horrible but the grass is extremely thick and high at the moment so I can't blame it for dying so soon its super powerful and extremely quiet after about 40 ft you can't even hear it at all super stable and the assist is so helpful im only 19 but dont wanna kill my back to early lol the mower is super light I can carry it 1 arm up my 2 story stairs easily nothing else i can say just buy it ... show more

  • Powerful and effective
Style: w/(2) 4.0Ah Batteries, Select Cut
its easy to maneuver with help of Self-Propelled feature even on different terrains. It is significantly quieter than gas-powered mowers Battery run time varies depending on the grass condition (Wet, Pile height etc.), in average it runs for 25-30 min continuous. quick charging time too.

  • First Electric Mower and Impressed
Style: w/(2) 4.0Ah Batteries, Select Cut
This is my first electric mower and I had its doubts on cutting power, but its been flawless so far and very convenient. Each 5AH battery lasts me about 30 mins or so and it takes me under an hour to do my lawn so the 2 batteries it came with was perfect for me. They recharge rather quickly as well. CONS: It does bog a bit when the grass is damp or thicker, but going slower over those sections seem to be enough to keep it going. When grass is extra thick run time does decrease a bit. PROS: Extra quiet, low maintenance. Much lighter than previous mowers I had. Had I known how light it'd be I'd probably not bother with the self propelled. I hardly use it cause its rather light and easy to maneuver. We'll see about the longevity and durability of it, but I'm currently very pleased with the switch over and its performance. ... show more

  • Questionable Charger
Style: w/(2) 4.0Ah Batteries, Select Cut
When I first tried to charge the batteries, the charger immediately displayed a constant red light, indicating an error condition for both batteries. I left it for about half an hour and tried again. This time, the charger started making distinct electrical clicking noises, not fan noise, which was concerning enough for me to initiate a return. However, I decided to give it one last try after another hour, and to my surprise, the clicking noises had completely disappeared, and the batteries started charging normally. Once past the initial charging hurdle, the mower itself performs admirably. It's surprisingly light, making it easy to maneuver around the yard. The included 4Ah battery provides a decent amount of runtime, allowing me to get a good portion of my lawn done on a single charge. My main criticism, however, lies with the fast charger that comes with the unit. It charges the Li-ion batteries quite aggressively, which is generally not recommended for the longevity of these types of batteries. To ensure the health of my batteries, I ended up purchasing a separate slow charger. While the fast charger gets the job done quickly, I'd highly recommend investing in a slow charger if you want to extend the life of your batteries. ... show more

  • I am happy with my purchase.
Style: w/(2) 4.0Ah Batteries, Select Cut
I purchased this product when my lawn tractor was in the shop. And, while it is expensive, so far it starts and runs good every time. I kept the batteries in the house and charged during the winter and this spring when I put the battery in, it started right up, no problem. I wish my lawn tractor was this dependable. It also gives a nice consistent cut even in taller grass, you just have to go a little slower. I would recommend to anyone that can afford it. ... show more

  • Easy pushing with my Ego but poor battery life
Style: w/(2) 4.0Ah Batteries, Select Cut
I just finished my 2nd cut of the year and my first use of my new Ego mower. It was very easy to push and maneuver. And I think it did a fine job of cutting and mulching. However, the battery life is a bit disappointing. I have 1/3 of an acre that is sloped. I only push about 35% and ride my tractor the rest. I used the self propel exclusively and exhausted both batteries. The 2nd battery was blinking red on my final 3 passes. Approximate run time for both combined was 35 minutes. And, either the instructions on the handle are incorrect or I have wires crossed. The instructions say pull the handle first and push the button second. Mine won’t start that way….i have to push the button first and then pull the handle. Bottom line, I’m mixed on satisfaction. It is a lot easier to push than my old gas mower for this 72 year old! Update: several days after my first cut with the Ego I contacted customer service. I had performed a runtime test per their request. My tests averaged 30 minutes each under no load, just sitting there running. Their website says you should get up to 65 minutes of runtime. I assumed that was grass cutting run time but it isn’t. I should have listened to the rest of the negative comments about Ego batteries and their customer service. I am only getting about 18 minutes of grass cutting run time per battery which according to Ego is within range of acceptability. If I knew beforehand that the 2 batteries would strain to complete the task, I would not have made the purchase. ... show more
