Great lawnmower, duel blades mulches and cuts well. I don't even use the bag or the attachment that you can use to blow the grass out the side. Mine came with 2 batteries that charge up quickly. My first battery will get down to 20-25 %, ill switch it out quickly and before the second battery gets like 1/3 low the first battery is fully charged and ready. Doesn't even take a minute to switch out the batteries. The self propelled has adjustable speed, the handle is height adjustable. I love it. ... show more

Very good product. Self-propelled makes it easy to handle, has a lot speed and great performance. Great versatility. Battery life last an hour easy. Easy assembly once you get it out of the box. Just charge the batteries, extend the handle remove packaging and you're good to go.

Best Mower I have ever bought. This is my third electric mower and this is built to a higher quality than the other brands I have purchased. Strong build. It doesnt feel like im going to break it. My back yard took me about a hour with my 18" and this 21" took me about 20 mins. The self propelled feature does bring the battery down faster than I would like... but its so light that pushing it without that function is no problem. ... show more

    • Questionable Charger

When I first tried to charge the batteries, the charger immediately displayed a constant red light, indicating an error condition for both batteries. I left it for about half an hour and tried again. This time, the charger started making distinct electrical clicking noises, not fan noise, which was concerning enough for me to initiate a return. However, I decided to give it one last try after another hour, and to my surprise, the clicking noises had completely disappeared, and the batteries started charging normally. Once past the initial charging hurdle, the mower itself performs admirably. It's surprisingly light, making it easy to maneuver around the yard. The included 4Ah battery provides a decent amount of runtime, allowing me to get a good portion of my lawn done on a single charge. My main criticism, however, lies with the fast charger that comes with the unit. It charges the Li-ion batteries quite aggressively, which is generally not recommended for the longevity of these types of batteries. To ensure the health of my batteries, I ended up purchasing a separate slow charger. While the fast charger gets the job done quickly, I'd highly recommend investing in a slow charger if you want to extend the life of your batteries. ... show more

This is a very well engineered and manufactured product. The fit and finish and functionality are all excellent. I like the polyethylene material since it will never rust and tends to shed grass cuttings from the underside of the deck with ease. The battery, however , does not seem to provide adequate operating time for mowing even a relatively small area. Although a more troublesome issue is the fact that even with a razor sharp blade the operating speed of the mower just does not provide the "crisp" cut I have experienced with all gasoline fueled mowers.     • Easy pushing with my Ego but poor battery life

I just finished my 2nd cut of the year and my first use of my new Ego mower. It was very easy to push and maneuver. And I think it did a fine job of cutting and mulching. However, the battery life is a bit disappointing. I have 1/3 of an acre that is sloped. I only push about 35% and ride my tractor the rest. I used the self propel exclusively and exhausted both batteries. The 2nd battery was blinking red on my final 3 passes. Approximate run time for both combined was 35 minutes. And, either the instructions on the handle are incorrect or I have wires crossed. The instructions say pull the handle first and push the button second. Mine won’t start that way….i have to push the button first and then pull the handle. Bottom line, I’m mixed on satisfaction. It is a lot easier to push than my old gas mower for this 72 year old! Update: several days after my first cut with the Ego I contacted customer service. I had performed a runtime test per their request. My tests averaged 30 minutes each under no load, just sitting there running. Their website says you should get up to 65 minutes of runtime. I assumed that was grass cutting run time but it isn’t. I should have listened to the rest of the negative comments about Ego batteries and their customer service. I am only getting about 18 minutes of grass cutting run time per battery which according to Ego is within range of acceptability. If I knew beforehand that the 2 batteries would strain to complete the task, I would not have made the purchase. ... show more
