Holy moly, this thing is POWERFUL. Great for the price, and does quite a bit of work per charge. Definitely a must have. Can hurt you if you aren't careful and holding on to it properly.

Works really well. I did need the auger extension for my application digging post holes about 36" deep. but the auger and 8" bit work great. I also got the 10" bit which was a challenge. But the 8" bit that this comes with is very good.

I am amazed at the power from this thing, a little pricey but well worth the cost. No mixing gas and oil and is more powerful than the gas one I own.

    • bigger batteries work better, but are heavy. Probably still lighter than a gas-powered auger.
The big, heavy EGO batteries last a long time, but I wear the backpack. If you try to use one of their small batteries, I doubt it would dig very many holes. The big batteries work longer than me.

Super easy to use no kick back it seems sturdy the design is nice all the buttons are in the right place i dug 6 holes w 5.0 and the battery didn’t go down at all it is pricey but think it was worth it

This auger is a beast in more ways than one. It really does its job! It eats through roots and rock. It can take patience when the roots are large. Be careful not to let it catch because it can really throw you around. Another thing to know is that it is a pretty heavy tool . For eight foot posts I think the auger portion could be 6 to 12 inches longer. Longer it would be ungainly. Now for the positives. It really augers, no gas and oil mess, stores well-no oil mess, and no rope to pull if you have a bad shoulder like me. I really like this tool. If I could I would give it a 4 1/2 star. Nothing but my spouse is perfect! ... show more
