This is a an extremely comfortable brace which provides excellent support for the lower back. With three support stays (one on each side and one down the middle of the back), I feel supported without feeling imprisioned. I am a huge fan of the adjustable velcro side straps which permit me to find the perfect fit and which supports without crushing. While we are on the subject of velcro, the velcro on this brace is reliable and holds securely. I have been wearing this brace for the past hour and have no desire to remove it. The only less than perfect aspect of the brace is the size. I certainly am not going to downgrade my rating for that because I was the person who chose the size. I was right on the cusp between medium and large. Having been burned in the past with items being too small, I decided to go with the size large. It fits. It supports. But if I want a REALLY tight fit, the straps overlap in the front and make it difficult to find a place to adhere the velcro. I could have gone with the medium, but I plan on keeping this brace (and using it regularly). I don't think I'll regret that choice. This way, if my husband decides he wants to use it sometimes, it will work for either of us.

I have been using it while sitting for extended periods and for lifting heavy things around the house. It has easily removable metal inserts. It is heavy duty and seems to be made of good quality materials. It is easy to put on and cinch tighter. Using it for several hours to help keep your back straight is easy and there are no suspenders to get in your way. The included metal braces were comfortable and provided good support. One drawback not having suspenders is that you cannot undo it and let it hang loose (like during a break) until you need it again. You put it on a leave it there until you are ready to take it off. Not the most convenient if you move around a lot. Made in China.

This 10-inch-wide ventilated back support belt features high quality materials, rock-solid construction, and in my opinion, represents a smart investment in helping ensure improved stability of critical structure of user’s backs! As always, use proper lifting techniques to help prevent painful back injuries. I appreciate the ventilation holes in the main belt, while the combination of removable metal stays, elastics bands and Velcro combine to provide a very secure and comfortable fit.
