Out of the package, tried it on, and it fell off. Tried again, fell off. Looked at the reviews, and someone commented about the small pieces of fabric covering the Velcro that needed to be removed. Sure enough, removed the two small (same color as the support) fabric pieces, then the support worked great. It seems a simple sticker that said "remove before use" could be applied to these disposable fabric covers.

This item was poorly made. One of the straps didn’t even have the Velcro side sewn on. It was just loose in the bag! Clearly a manufacturing defect. To make it worse, even the last product image in the description literally says “Don’t put it on.” That should have been my warning sign. I returned it immediately and do not recommend this product.

Definitely needs to come with instructions. There are three tabs that need to be removed in order for the velcro to stick but nothing indicates that. I saw a review that pointed that out; however, not the number of tabs. I kept trying to get it to work and it kept falling off until I finally found the third tab. Buyers also need to know that this product is not designed for short waisted women. I ordered the size small because I'm very petite but the width makes it uncomfortable.

Very hard to put on. X large does not fit well or stay attached and no directions come with it. I will return and it says one month to do that and am housebound at moment so tough. Unhappy!

i have had other wetsuit-like waist bands; this one is much better. fits just fine, and gives great support. i use it to practice drums, and at the gym. would recommend it highly, especially for older people.
