I have a lumbar back pain , and this was my go to back brace . It fits well and helps to hold my lower back together. It comes with extra support pads. It is easy to use, not too bulky, easy to move around while wearing the back brace. The material feels good and durable.

Although I wish this brace worked with some other latching mechanism than velcro (because velcro degrades so quickly over time), as long as the velcro holds, the brace works great. The elastic sides allow me to get just the right amount of pressure around my lumbar spine area to support me while I'm using the treadmill or stair stepper. I've had multiple spinal surgeries, and this is just what I needed to assist me when my back is acting up. It allows me to do things I had to stop doing prior to this purchase.

Just received this today but based on first impressions it feels pretty good. At 29 years old I have quite the history of when it comes to my back. The problems started early and by the time I was 13 I already had a dislodged discs. I also suffer from scoliosis. The pain seems to get worse every year that goes by and it’s been hard to handle lately. This brace is actually taking some of the pressure off. I’ve tried a couple and this one is in first place. The size guide was accurate. It’s very supportive. Velcro quality is pretty good. For the price, compared to some others on here it was reasonable.

Update: I received this item approx Feb 4. By middle of May the Velcro strips no longer adhered to each other. It can still be fastened by using one of the side strips over the center closing. But it's not ideal. Thought it was worth mentioning the fact that it appears from reviews that not all customers are suffering from the same condition. ORIGIN OF PAIN: For those who are recovering from injury, you are in a minority and should heed the advice of your doctor or physical therapist. For the rest of us: chronic pain in the lower back is physically and emotionally debilitating! Both the lumbar and SI areas need support (i.e., brace should be at least 10" tall). Support needed for vacuuming and cooking will be different than that needed for standing for a period over 10 minutes or walking more than a full city block. SIZING: Also consider: any product designed for "both men and women" is usually designed primarily for men. So, the use of any back brace is really a matter of trial and error. A woman who is 5' tall, 125 lbs and short-waisted (as I am) will require a different fit than a similar woman who is 5'8", average weight and much longer waisted or an average sized man of 5'10" and 170 lbs. Much of the process is "trial and error" - so don't be discouraged! and if your dimensions are near the limit between sizes, I would recommend always sizing up. No matter what your size, shape and age are, you DESERVE pain relief! And if you have extra skin/fat in your midsection, just get out the tape measure, use it accurately and order a brace that is substantial and will cover you well. COMFORT: Comfort is key. The Camrier Back Brace is now my "go to" for everyday use. It fits compactly under my jeans (even the skinny ones) and gives me confidence to walk without the aid of a cane or a shopping cart. (Many of us with back issues of many types are very fond of using shopping carts as a discreet ambulation aid). The tension provided by the Camrier is ideal and adjustable. I have found that wearing it much lower than described or pictured gives the best support in my case. The bottom front of brace overlaps the pubic bone. Don't be afraid to play around with positioning and with adjusting the tension. Its there to work for YOU! 3D LUMBAR PAD : I found that added piece a bit confusing. It did not seem to improve pain relief or support with my condition but I'm certain it can be very helpful if it is adjusted to hit the right place. DOWNSIDE: my only complaint is that the Camrier brace is not available in pink, light grey or cream I recommend the Camrier back brace without reservation!
