For the price ($50), when I bought two, I thought it was great. The shade looks a little cheap. I could see why some other reviewers were looking at replacing that portion. The scale is a bit small for other floor lamps I have purchases over the years and I do not belive this would last a bunch of moves, but for a bedroom or small office I like it. Really the only reason I wrote the review because I saw a lot of comments about quality control, seems like they have it under control, considering buying another. ... show more

The lamp was difficult to assemble, took ~30 mins to assemble. It requires pliers to be able to properly assemble it. Otherwise, it resulted to be a cute floor lamp and compliments my living room nicely.

I try to order gifts for Christmas early so I got this in September and the window for return was in October so keep that in mind. I got this for my daughter for Christmas, obviously didn’t put it together till after and the base and the poll did not line up. My husband had to cut the cord, drill out the misaligned space, and rewire it so we could put it together properly. The lamp it’s self it beautiful and the lighting is just right but be aware you may have to work to put it together. The base is like a concrete material glued to the gold plate so there was no good way to do it without cutting into the cord or scratching the finish of the plate so our option was to cut the cord. You may find a easier way if yours arrives misaligned. ... show more

Don’t be fooled by the small box it arrives in. It is cleverly packed and the lamp shade gets rolled out and hooked onto two metal rings. It completes my cozy corner. I ordered the bronze and it is a nice dark color but doesn’t look black. The shade adjusts up and down. The on and off is a floor push button.
