I purchased two lamps to go opposite each side of my television. My living room is very dark. I needed a warm light (nothing too bright). This lamp is dimmable with a simple tap of the finger. They are taller than expected, and perfect for my needs. I put them together in less than five minutes. For some odd reason, they were easier to assemble while I stood up versus sitting down. They are the loveliest glass and very strong. Manufacturer did a great job. It's so great that the lamps come with bulbs. That alone will save you money, making this an even better purchase. The bulb is bright for only 4 watts. However, I used a 40 watt bulb that I had in stock. Big mistake because the lamp became extremely hot within minutes. I quickly switched back to the bulbs provided. Whoever created the tapping method to turn on and off the lamp is a genius. I LOVE IT!!! So much easier to simply tap the lamp base and turn off the lamp. I know it sounds lazy but it's really wonderful to just tap the lamp and it immediately turns on. I saw this product for double the price on another website. Because I saved so much money, I was able to purchase two lamps. So glad that I did. ... show more

I really like this lamp. The glass is thick and pretty looking with a hazy look to it. There are 3 different settings. The low light is good for mood lighting and the high setting is very bright. You can touch the stem or the base and it turns on promptly. It even comes with a light bulb. Good quality! Perfect size for a bedside table without a bulking lamp shade. ... show more

    • It likes fleshy part of finger better than the bony side.
This replaces a worn-out touch lamp and it's not nearly as good. Sometimes it takes a few taps to get it on or off, the back side of my finger won't work so well as the finger pad. So it's a little more fussy but it does work. I couldn't easily find replacement bulbs -- do they need to be 3-way also? Hopefully the current bulb will last a very long time. ... show more

The lamp looks more expensive than it is. The touch base is an improvement over a traditional light switch. As for the three light settings, the first is more for ambience, then it jumps to a much more bright light on the second setting. The third setting fills the entire bedroom with light. My only complaint is that I wish there was a light setting between the first tap, and the second. Still, a very good value, and if I needed another lamp, I would buy another. ... show more
