You may find it odd for me to give this ice maker 5 stars since I actually returned mine, but it had nothing to do with the quality of the machine. Even the guy who installed the machine commented on the quality of the product and the ice that it produced. My ONLY reason for returning it is that I ordered the wrong size by accident, and we didn't realize it until we got home and it was already installed. Our original ice maker was a Kitchen Aide, but I honestly prefer the ice produced by this machine even better. The customer service was great and provided a quick turnaround on my refund when I had to return the machine. (Remember to retain original box and all packing until you are sure about keeping your appliance.)

So far so good except for it does not store 25lbs of ice. I use a large cooler daily and bought this ice maker so I could stop buying store ice. My thought was I could empty 25lbs at a time into my cooler and it turns out to be more like 10-15 lbs tops. When it reaches 3/4 of a full bin it shuts off until the bin is emptied. This takes approximately 5 hours and weighs about 10 lbs so it is making the advertised 45lbs a day but you must be around to empty it every 5 hours. I was hoping to be able to dump 25lbs on my cooler every morning and I can as long as I bag it up at least once or twice and store it in the freezer. The ice does come out in sheets but they are easy to break up with a good steel scooper that I ordered to go with it. It does make noise but that is to be expected by anything that is dropping ice into a bin. The noise and sheets of ice do not bother me at all, just wished it actually stored 25lbs of ice. The ice is clear and I do enjoy it in a whiskey and coke in the evening. Hope this helps.

Not what we were expecting. It's a bit loud and the ice cubes are not separated when they're made. Would have been nicer if the bucket tipped for better access to scooping out the ice.

I read lots and lots of reviews on several undercounter ice makers, and this one kept coming up as one of the top ones. I am so happy to have this ice maker as it lives up to the reviews. It took my husband and son about half a day to install it, and it has been working great ever since! The ice cubes are formed in a sheet of small square cubes, and it makes plenty of ice! There is the occasional sheet that doesn't break apart after being released into the ice tub, but it doesn't take much to break them apart. I have all the ice I need now!

After reading several reviews I selected this ice machine since even the ones costing 3x as much didn't get better reviews. I found the installation quite straightforward. I did installed a water filter upstream of the ice machine and I would highly recommend that as it seems most problems with all these machines can be traced to water issues. The instructions are well written. The water supply line that comes with the machine is good quality but not compatible with the fitting on my water filter, so I needed to use fittings from Lowes. As you see in other reviews, the ice needs to be broken up but it's easy to do with the scoop. The noise level is not excessive. It's about the same as the refrigerator next to it. Of course the first few batches or ice dropping down into the empty bin make some noise. When not making ice the unit is silent. I like the gravity drain. One less thing to break and make noise. Ice production is fast enough to keep up with any party unless you've got 50 alcoholics in your house.

the first one we ordered was damaged & did not work. the replacement was also damaged, it looks like these are factory rejects. the second was damaged in the front grill same as the first & the door is all scratched up, i think they were damaged before shipping ..amazon should not let this person sell through them. we paid $ 1000.00 for a factory reject. very disappointing. the second one does work, so he changed the doors to try & make one good one. But we paid $1000.00 for this !!!!
