This is my second coat. I’ve lost weight and dropped a coupe of sizes. The weight is nice without being to heavy for summer months. In fall I can throw a sweater on under the coat and still have room. Sleeves are on the longer side, on both coats I owned. It keeps hands dry.     • Beautiful rain jacket!
I bought this for an upcoming trip to northern Europe. I've ordered maybe 10 rain jackets so far trying to find the perfect one. This one is the winner, in spite of it's steep price tag. I was worried that it would feel short in the body since the tall size wasn't available, but it feels good. It's pretty true to size. I'm a size 14-16 (and 5'10" tall) and the XL regular feels good on me. I was hoping that this would have a cinch at the waist, but it actually looks pretty good even without one. It's not too boxy looking like I had worried about. I love that there is no mesh lining inside like some have, which feels scratchy to me. This inner lining is soft. I almost went with a few other jackets that I liked as well, but the mesh lining in theirs was going to bother me too much, and I didn't want to have to always wear long sleeves to protect my arms, so I ultimately decided on this one for comfort and cuteness. The pockets are good, with an inner pocket that holds my large iphone plus. The sleeves are long enough, and it has a decent sized hood, although I wish it were deeper to keep my face more protected. It has all of the things I was looking for. The purple color is amazing, and is one of the reasons I am keeping this one (along with the lining), even at the $149 price tag (which is $100 more than the other ones I have tried out). Hopefully it will hold up well in the rain! EDIT: I've had this coat now for 5 years and it's still my very favorite coat ever! I find myself reaching for this in the winter time as well, even though it's not as warm as some of my other ones are. It's sturdy, keeps the rain off beautifully, is gorgeous (love the purple color) and is super comfortable. I see the price has gone down considerably since the first time I ordered it. I like the grey heather color, removable hood, inside pocket, two way zipper, and the fact that it is lightweight and waterproof. However, the fit is a bit awkward. I am a petite(5'1"), slender(114#) person. The size small came down to my knees and the waist is not adjustable, so is a bit snug even before wearing a sweater underneath. It seems to be sized for a 5'7", ultra skinny person. If you are a curvy person and need to size up, I'm thinking the sleeves would be too long. Sadly, I had to return. ... show more
