    • So far, so good ….. no regrets
Perfect nugget ice, easy maintenance, set up is simple. Love the self cleaning option. The machine is much smaller than I thought it would be, however I am not disappointed because it doesn’t take up much counter space and has a sleek look. The only downfall would be that you kinda have to babysit the machine during ice making. This is not an issue for me as I am home 99% of the time. This is not a machine that you could leave running while not home. Ice basket needs to be dumped as soon as it is full, make sure to tip it before transferring ice to the bags as there is water because the ice melts some. It also needs water added after about a full basket load or you can add when it runs out, the machine stops running and indicates with red display when water is empty or when the ice in the basket needs to be pushed to the side or spread out. When I am making ice, I spread the ice out or push the ice over to the opposite side once it begins accumulating in the basket and then drain excess water, dump into the bag and immediately transfer to my freezer. Since the nuggets are still wet, the ice does stick together once frozen solid in the bag. I just bang the bag when I need ice and the nuggets break apart individually pretty easily. The nuggets are perfect for people that enjoy eating ice, they aren’t solid hard like bullet ice or ice cubes. The nuggets are comparable to Sonic and Zaxby’s which is exactly what I wanted. I appreciate that a few ice bags are included as well. No regrets with this purchase and saving me $$$ by not needing to purchase bags of ice from the store. I researched all reviews and this one won! I’m so happy I chose it because it is exactly what we needed. When I followed the instructions on first set up within 5 minutes it started making the ice. We drink a lot of water so I have a large Pur water filter system that I use to fill a pitcher and keep in the refrigerator. I used this water and I believe that it is cold when I put into the ice machine helps for faster production of ice. I have bagged so much ice and keep in freezer that my kids use it instead of our ice maker which is larger half moon cubes. The ice last so much longer in a drink than our freezer ice. It is very low noise which was an issue for me that now I’m so use to it I know when it stops and I need to move the ice so the full light will go off or I need to add water. Very compact size. I can’t say enough good about it and have no complaints at all. Been running it everyday for 2 weeks and it hasn’t changed at all. I would definitely buy another one if I could just because it is a great ice making machine!!! You will not regret the purchase. ... show more

    • Decent ice maker but not quiet
We bought this ice maker specifically because it said how quiet it was. We got it to replace our last ice maker that was very loud (and had broken). This one is almost as loud. I can hear it from the next room. Maybe these ice makers are just all noisy. I don't know. I like the little soft nuggets of ice it makes. However, we use a Brita filter for drinking water because our tap water doesn't taste good. Though the ice maker warns not to use distilled water, it didn't mention the ice maker doesn't work with any kind of filtered water. When we filled it with our Brita water, it stopped working and said to add water. It couldn't recognize it was full. We poured in some tap water and it started working. I guess this ice maker requires water with some sort of impurity to work. As a compromise we now do 50/50 tap and Brita water and it works okay. The scoop it comes with was useless because it's wider than all of our glasses but we bought a narrower scoop that works fine with it. I bought this as a gift for my wife who loves nugget ice. This thing is great. It's not super quiet, but as long as you're not on top of it while it's making ice, the noise isn't an issue. It doesn't keep the ice cold, so you have to empty it frequently while it's making ice, so it doesn't melt, but it's pretty good at letting you know when it's full, so it's not an issue. I received this ice maker last week. Setup was simple - add water. Unlike other ice machines on the market, this one actually fits under my cabinet. 5 stars for size. So far so good on ice making. It’s quiet and start making ice quickly. The only drawback is that the ice basket is a little small - maybe a trade off for the size. 4 solid stars for ice so far. This is my third nugget ice machine - including the very expensive GE Opal 2.0. Each of my previous machines have done well for 10 months, and then been dead by month 13. Is there something inherently wrong with the design of a countertop nugget ice maker? Seriously? Hoping for better results from this machine. I’ll update after more use. ... show more

I really wanted a nugget ice machine but couldn’t bring myself to spend the $$$$ on the one everyone talks about. So glad I got this one. Ice production is so quick. It holds enough ice for my family of 5 to ice their drinks at meals. It does have to be refilled pretty often which is why it gets 4 stars instead of 5 from me. ... show more

    • Does not fully use all water in chamber to make ice.
If filled to "max" line, it will make 2 baskets full of ice. But will not restart and use the 1/2 to 3/4 cup of water left, and it must be manually drained via base plug being pulled. I bought 2 of these machines - one for camp and one for home. They both work the same. Though inconvenient, I will keep using them as I don't wish to have an ice maker inside my fridge, nor make ice with trays. ... show more

    • Great anniversary gift
This little machine works hard. I have had it only a couple of months but so far it has been outstanding. I love the feature that says it needs to be cleaned. The ice is nice size and wonderful to chew. We use treated water or spring water in it; the ice had no flavor.
