The installation instructions really don't explain how to assemble this hitch setup. However, using the pictures from Amazon, it wasn't difficult to get it assembled. One thing I had to do was ream out my tractors 5/8" hitch hole to accommodate the bolt in the kit, my tractor is old and beat up. I also put one of the large washers that is for a trailer ball under the main hitch bolt so it would snug up to the tractor mount. I had to drill holes for the top brackets. It was easy, I first made a 1/8" hole and then reamed it out with a 5/16" drill bit. Thing is solid and looks like it will work perfectly to tow my log splitter. It is also nice to have the standard pintle hitch available to haul my dump trailer without the need to remove the ball. Very convenient in that regard.

Fit my John Deere L130 perfectly with no modifications. Bolted on fairly easily. Instructions could use a little more detail, but I figured it out thru process of elimination. Very sturdy. I don’t foresee durability being any issue with this. It connects at 3 points giving is a very strong connection to the tractor. The hole for the ball hitch is 3/4”. Standard vehicle hitches have a 1” bolt. You’ll need to buy a ball with a 3/4” bolt if you don’t have done already. Overall I’m very satisfied with this product.

This hitch is extremely sturdy and well-made. I'd had problems finding a hitch that would fit on my Cub Cadet XT1 LT50 without extensive modifications. This one fit just fine. I had some issues with the left side attachment bolt, because it was under some battery cabling, but managed to tighten it by going up from the bottom instead of down through the battery compartment. The brace bolts are under a bit of pressure to make the fit perfect and tight, but I'm guessing that it may be sturdier that way. The instructions are pretty bad. They are 3 very dark pictures on a printed page with some sketchy explanations. I found a video on YouTube that answered my questions.

OUTSTANDING - my Deere tractor (lawn) had the hole for the hitch pull out. Useless. I got this because I pull a rather heavy (with wet grass) DR lawn vacuum. It installed FAIRLY easily... had good hardware. Allows me to adjust the height!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! before the vacuum engine wasn't level and (unlevel oil ruined the engine over a few 5-6 years. Now I can adjust the vacuum to mount LEVEL, the engine is level and oil is level. It's a STRONG HITCH!!! Also - It extended the length of the vacuum by moving the connection point out from the back of the tractor an extra 5-6 inches. I used to jackknife in tight turns and crunch the back of the tractor. Now I can turn even sharper and still no jack-knifing. SUPER high quality materials. STRONG - STURDY. I can't say enough. I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT.

This is a very solid kit. Relatively easy install on my Cub Cadet XT2. Was able to use two existing holes on the tractor's back plate, so no drilling was required. The kit included a lot of additional hardware, which my application did not require. I am very pleased with this purchase and the functionality it adds to my tractor. Btw - As other reviews have mentioned the one page of "instructions" that came with the kit was not very helpful. But viewing the diagrams on the product's description clearly depict how it goes together.

This is heavy, heavy duty - like something you would use on a big truck. For the mower, it's probably over-engineered. I see some complaints about having to drill holes, but that is pointed out in the listing. The John Deere S series has the connection points pre-drilled. The instructions are sparse and the pictures too dark to determine what they mean. Looking at the picture of the product on Amazon, it's fairly easy to determine what goes where. I installed on my JD S120. The issue I had was...originally I installed the upper brackets with the 1-hole end on the hitch. There was no way the 2-hole end could line up with the mower back plate. (see pic with red/green marks). If you flip the bracket around, the 1-hole end lines up perfectly. There are only two 9/16" bolts. These connect the bracket to the hitch. The 1/2" bolts are a perfect fit for the slots JD provides on the back plate for attachments. I labeled the locations /sizes in the second photo. I think the upper bracket is specifically designed to fit various applications. If it doesn't seem right, flip the bracket around.

I mounted this with no modifications or drilling on an older, craftsman LT2000 mower. I was able to mount it using existing holes on the back of my mower. The only change I made was on one of the lateral supports (see pics). I needed keep my bagger unit operable while having a hitch like this one. I was able to use both brackets mounted towards the left side of mower with no issues and minimal added hardware I had available. The hitch is solid and I have zero concerns pulling the log splitter and a few trailers around the property. I've got the old style, 2 bag, bagging unit on my mower and the hitch does not interfere with it at all. I simply remove the bags, leave the bagger lid in place and hook up to the hitch. Well worth the money. A bit less than a hour to attach it. Hope this helps.

It works great on my 2018 Cub Cadet XT1 22hp mower. Pulls my 10’ trailer around the yard with ease. Only issue is the ball mount is a few degrees tilted back instead of level, but it doesn’t affect its towing ability. Installing the nuts under the back for the bracket was awkward but not too bad, didn’t need to remove the battery tray.
