These magnets are very strong. In fact, they are so strong that some care needs to be taken when handling more than one at a time. I was removing them from a box of 4, and if they get very close to one another, they quickly join. The tip of my finger got between two, and I needed a quick tissue to stop the bleeding. :-( But when mounted to a wall or shelf, they work well to hold any magnetic tools, etc. And they are easy to use, as long as you are careful around magnetic objects while handling them

I can't give them a lower rating than 5 because they were everything that they claimed to be, but note that these aren't magnetized in pairs, so half of them aren't magnetized one way and half are magnetized the other. They are all magnetized the same way, which is fine if they are all attached to objects that mount to metal, but not useful if you want to use them for things like cabinet doors.

These small round magnets with a hole in the center mean much more to me than effective magnetism and varied uses. They go so much deeper than that. At The Moose Horn Lodge, the brothers and 2nd level cousins held a three night seminar titled The Superior Design of Life. In this in depth teaching, we explored how life is cyclical and what goes around comes around. As I strugggled to grasp the concept, Brother Jacob threw a handful of these magnets at The Sacred Anvil. Some stuck right to The Sacred Anvil and some stuck to the other ring magnets, which were attached to The Sacred Anvil. The small yet versatile little rings showed how in life we are all in it together and must cling to one another and sometimes be the one all the others adhere to. The use of the ring magnets to teach the lesson was visual genius. They looked great stuck there. So impressed with Brother Jacob’s ease of explanation, there is talk that the elders may soon bestow on him the title of Bull Moose.

love these. very useful and super strong. i use them to hold my drone strobe lights on using phone mag charging tips. the are super strong as magnets go. don't let them slam together hard or they can chip or break. i also use paracord with them. i make a point then burn the paracord on the tapered hole side. let it just burn enough to make a plug when you carefully put a metal ruler or something metal under it making sure to not let the paracord come out. use the to hold my pens as i have no thumbs and can't pinch to pick them up but i can get them when they are hanging. i know i typed a lot here but these really have made a big difference for me.

This review is for the .47" (12mm) x .12" (3mm) size Neodymium magnets with countersunk hole. The magnets themselves are decent enough with a reasonably strong pull. All arrived intact. The reasons for downgrading the stars are for lack of information, incorrect specifications and inconsistent polarity: 1) The grade value is not provided (N35, N40, N45...N52) which is generally an indication of pull strength, so it is difficult to compare to other brands/models. 2) The screw hole size is incorrectly listed as for a #4 or 3mm screw. Another review indicated this, but I did not see that before ordering. I measured the hole diameter as .17" or more than 4mm, so better for a #6 screw. The hardware I ordered to secure these is too small and the screw heads slip right thru the hole! 3) The polarity is random. For magnet to steel applications that won't matter, but for magnet to magnet applications like mine it will. In this batch I received a mix of 21 which were North polarity on the countersink side, while the other 39 were South polarity on the countersink side. Apparently the vendor does not care what you get. This makes the majority of the magnets I received unusable so I will be returning them.
