Description

ABOUT DIYMAG DIYMAG brand neodymium magnets for science, innovation, engineering, and industry. We specialize in providing strong high- quality neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB) magnets. Our neodymium magnets are made with the world's most advanced magnetic materials. We only sell new rare earth magnets produced under license to the highest standards. In addition to the DIYMAG line of permanent magnets, DIYMAG is a leading producer of magnetic products for industrial, research and engineering applications. We produce a comprehensive line of advanced permanent magnets in many stock sizes. Additionally, we can produce magnets to our customers specifications and private label these magnets. DIYMAG Countersunk Magnets - 1.26"D x 0.2"H ( 10 PCS ) Rare earth magnets are the strongest type of permanent magnet currently made. They are amazingly powerful for their size and have innumerable uses. These pot magnets are 1.26 inch (32mm) diameter and 0.2 inch (5mm) thick. They are magnetized through the thickness. They are composed of neodymium iron boron magnetic material and are plated in nickel-copper-nickel for a shiny corrosion resistant finish. Maximum working temperature is 176 F (80 C). Ideal for furniture fixings, hanging artwork and keeping doors and drawers closed, countersunk magnets have a central hole which allows them to be fixed to non- magnetic surfaces with a screw. Because of their superb strength these 32mm x 5mm countersunk circular magnets are also used in recovery and retrieval applications, providing an astonishing magnetic pull for a relatively small magnet. Countersunk magnets with opposite poles on the countersunk face can be used to attract two surfaces or two opposing countersunk magnets with the same pole on the countersunk face can be used to create a damping, shock absorbing or repelling effect. Also available with the north pole on the countersunk face. How to Safely Seperate Your DIYMAG Magnets? CORRECT 1. Slide one magnet off the top of the stack. 2. Once off thestack, carefully start lifting the magnet. 3. Lift the magnet to free it from the stack. INCORRECT 1. DO NOT attempt to pull, lift, or pry amagnet from the stack before sliding it to the side. 2. DO NOT throw away the white storage spacers. 3. DO NOT allow the magnets to snap to each other or any magnetic surface. doing so may cause magnets to break! OUR FACILITIES We never compromise on quality and all our products are performance tested using a computer controlled tensile and compression machine. The system accurately measures the weight a magnet can hold when pulled vertically and the amount of pull a magnet can exert when there is a gap or non-magnetic material between the magnet and the material it is applied to attract. Using the best technology, we make sure our customers always get the correct magnet for their application. At DIYMAG you not only find the world's strongest magnets, we also have a large selection: Besides neodymium magnets and pot magnets for industry and handicraft you can also find magnets for office and school as well as magnetic tapes and sheets. We carry over 25 million neodymium magnets and magnetic products and are able to deliver right away and in large quantities. Our assortment is geared toward long-term availability of products, so you are able to purchase the same magnet even years later. 1. Keep away from pacemakers. 2. Powerful magnets can hurt your fingers. 3. Not for children, parental supervision required. 4. All magnets may chip and shatter, but if used correctly can last a lifetime. 5. If damaged please dispose of completely. Shards are still magnetized and if swallowed can inflict serious damage.

Bought these for a project thinking I’d need all 10 to hold things together. Boy was I wrong. One is almost too much. The instructions provided mention not to get your fingers between two of these. Heed these instructions! Little buggers are way more powerful than I would have expected in all the good ways. As per the instructions, they are brittle, so don’t overtighten the screws when mounting, they do break. Fun to mess around with, they’re so strong you can use them to find screws in drywall (to locate studs) in a house 3 doors down. I found metal in my wall because I put the box 3” away and it slid across the counter and stuck to the wall. Love these little things, but now I have 8 to spare... ... show more

  • Held solar panels on my roof even through winter storms.
I use these to hold solar panels to a metal roof. I can change their position if I need to. They hold extremely well. I substituted 10/24 flat head machine screws to hold a magnet to each solar panel support bracket. Six magnets will hold a 100 watt solar panel tight. I made round washers out of 1/2" plywood with a hole saw and put one on each magnet to give the panels enough clearance over the ribs on the roof. Works great! No holes in the roofing! I use them for water heating solar panels on the roof too and even the pipes that run to them. ... show more

  • Powerful magnet
Mine arrived today - 2 boxes of 5 magnets each in styrofoam to keep them distant from iron and other magnets. I have already cemented one to the inside of a plastic prescription bottle cap to use on my refrigerator (using the amazing eclectic Plumber's GOOP). If the flat area on one of my cordless drills is large enough, I will glue the magnet to the side of the screwdriver so that bits can be kept together with the driver. The screws that came with my magnets are "large" - for a large magnet - #10 flat head. The head of the screw fits flush with the magnet. They 'appear' to be stainless steel. The image on the Amazon product page makes them appear to be size #6 or #8 and longer than 5/8 inch. ... show more

  • Very strong magnets, but read the label
These are good strong magnets. Fortunately, there is a generous countersink in the center, so you can reuse round head screws when you replace the feet on something. You can see in the picture below I replaced the rubber feet of a Foredom LX tool with four of these and it holds the unit to a steel pillar like a vice. The magnet box has a BIG "Fragile" warning, and believe them! They are! Broke one right off. I am not sure whether they are really "fragile" or just under a lot of internal stress that wants to push the magnet apart. If you break one try pushing the broken surfaces together and you will see what I mean. ... show more

  • Very strong, but all one polarity
I use these magnets for a lot of things. I bought a cheap towel rack and modified it to attach to my refrigerator with these magnets. I use these magnets to attach steel power strips to my steel desks. Just don't drop them against each other, and keep them away from your hard drives. For some applications, it is useful to have magnets with opposite polarity so that they can attract each other. The countersunk hole in the center of the magnets is great for screwing them to things, but it makes the polarity relevant. When you order these magnets, they're all going to screw onto something with either north facing out, or south. It would be nice to have 5 north and 5 south, so they could be paired. I've purchased enough of these over the years that I have a handful of both polarities. However, it would be nice to be able to decide which kind I get. The product page says "Also available with the north pole on the countersunk face" but I could not find more information. There is a question "Can you buy a 10 pack of the opposite polarity?" which is unanswered by the seller. It looks like all similar products suffer from the same oversight. I wish I had done more research about this before starting my project that uses paired magnets. For example, it might have been better to use a cup magnet with a higher holding force, against a piece of steel, rather than trying to scrounge around for opposite-polarity pairs of these. ... show more

super strong magnet. I installed them in my garage to keep my workbench organized. Hang my tools so I can have a quick access while working on something. the screws come with the mag are made of non ferrous metals, looks like some kind of stainless steel. ships fast. meets my needs. five stars

  • Really strong magnets! be careful. Used to make license plate easily mount to car bumper.
Really super strong magnets which was really good for my use as a license plate holder/mount. The strength in magnets travels well through bumper material and stays put. With the bumper inbetween two sets of magnets and holding my license plate, I was able to get up to 100 mph and license plate did not fly off the car which shows how strong these magnets really are. You can feel the power as I was really hesitant to let it snap together. ... show more

  • Almost perfect.
I ordered a bunch of these and only one was broken, so that's pretty good. There is nothing better than these magnets to display swords and knives and using magnets makes your displays much more flexible than other methods. I did have a problem with two large medallions though. The magnetic poles are not front to back or back to front as I thought but rather left to right. I epoxied large washers to the 5" medallions and then screwed the magnets into the wall. When I stuck the medallions on the magnets they all shifted round-wise and dropped about 1/2". So in non-technical applications, they would be ok, but when you need accuracy to within 1/8". not so much. A couple of the swords I mounted were heavy so I just doubled up on the magnets. I screwed one in the wall and just stuck an additional magnet on top of the first magnet. Sticks to steel and cast iron really well. Some of the swords with brass or bronze handles didn't stick so well because the steel in the middle of the handle was too far away to be attracted so I just lowered the top magnet a few inches lower and it worked great. ... show more
