This is the perfect mobile. It’s very adorable. The sound can be adjusted higher to lower. My son. Absolutely loves the animals. He used to not like to sleep or sleep in his crib only in arms. I purchased this and placed it in the crib and turned it on The first time him seen it. His eyes were glued and looked excited ever since I’ve had this he will no longer fall asleep in his crib unless it’s turned on and him watching the mobile go around this is definitely a must in a baby registry. I was on the fence about getting a mobile since they’re usage window is often so short and they can be pricey, but I finally caved after realizing you can never have too many things to distract a baby! I wanted something cute, reasonably priced, and that didn’t scream “nursery” or “baby toy.” This mobile definitely met the criteria! It was very easy to assemble and set up, even though the directions weren’t especially clear. I also liked that the animals on the mobile point downward slightly so my son can actually see them while lounging in his crib. The animals and little felt-like leaves all seem well made and are really cute. The mobile plays a number of songs, and it continues to rotate through them until the “off” button is pushed. The reasonable price also made this a guilt free pick for me! I will note: the sound is on the louder side, even on the quietest setting. This hasn’t been a problem for me/my son because I mainly use it as entertainment for when my he’s awake laying in his crib while I do something else in his room, like sort laundry or clean up his changing table. If you want to use it for sleep purposes, I could see the volume potentially being too loud, and it being a bit annoying that you have to manually turn the mobile off (unlike with wind-up ones).

I’m a big fan of The Peanutshell Crib Mobile! The install was a breeze—it fits snugly and securely right onto the crib railing without me feeling like I’m solving a puzzle. I had it set up in minutes, which is a win because who has time for complicated baby gear? The music is loud enough to grab my baby’s attention without being obnoxious (though I might be humming these tunes in my sleep now). It spins smoothly and keeps my little one entertained long enough for me to grab a much-needed coffee. For the price, the quality is fantastic. It’s sturdy, fits perfectly on the crib, and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Great value and a must-have for any nursery!

The mobile is really cute and our baby loves it. If you need a quick bathroom break you can put him in the crib and turn on the mobile and it will delight him until you get back. He demands it before naps and loves to watch it. Theoretically, it's good for baby's visual development, but mostly as a tired parent you will just appreciate that you have something the kid loves for when you need to go wash a giant glob of poop off your shirt, or sit in your chair gripping your now-cold tea and quiver from exhaustion. Not only won't it hurt him to take 5 minutes with the mobile, he will enjoy it. It plays short snippets from ~10 songs at a fast tempo. One advantage of that is that you can stop the song and then lift the kid out, and then you can keep singing the song. I do this a lot with "Old Macdonald [Had a Farm]" and it makes it so he isn't as upset when you take him away from the mobile, turn off the light to reduce distractions, and then sing him to sleep. If I had one constructive criticism, it would be that I can't run the mobile without the music. There's a volume control, but you can't set it to silent, which seems to me to be a silly design flaw. Otherwise, love this thing.

Bought this for my daughter's infant son It works, but the musical/lyrical part of this mobile is annoying to say the least. This wouldn't be so bad if you had the option to turn the music on or off. I opened up the motorized assembly and clipped one of the speaker wires to disable the musical component. Reassembled the unit and it functions as it should, minus the music. I also think this unit is over priced for what you get.
