The media could not be loaded. Hey, it took me about two weeks to finish this entire thing from start to finish. Yes, it will take you at least two or three people to put this together, however but they don’t tell you is that A or C will need to be facing a certain way in order for them to work together. The instructions suck. I repeat the instructions really really, really, really suck. There should be a way to say the screws go on the inside versus the outside or some other thing, because that is extremely important when you’re putting this together. But no, the instructions don’t say that. The instructions are more like put this pole against this pole. Screw tightly. But if A and C aren’t facing a certain way , you won’t have a complete product. In fact, it’ll be too far away you’ll have to rig a few things like I had to do, you’ll have to go out by additional pieces and some glue because the last thing that you’re gonna do is take it all apart and start all over because it is far too much work to do that. Do yourself a favor by something with better instructions. Overall, this might be an OK thing. We’ll see in the morning if it holds up. ... show more

i had this item assembled it so i can't say much about that! But what was needed in my case was to screw it into concrete for it to hold ...I get a lot of compliments on it, it adds needed shade and a bit of ambiance, I really love it!

Let me tell you the things I like about it 1st because I don't want to start with the negative. I love that it's unique. I don't see anybody with anything like this. people compliment about how it's different. I like how I can open and close it depending on if I want some sun or no sun. It's also somewhat sturdyTo an extent. My issues with it are that number one I could not get Brown, they only had Gray and Brown would have fit my theme better. But the biggest concerns were that some of the slots came bent and we had to pay someone to straighten them because they weren't closing properly. The company stood by us and gave us a discount since we did have to invest in getting a welder to straighten them , but we still have to manually push on the slot when we open and closed it to get it to open fully.The other issue is that that in the picture it looked like the slots fully closed so that way you wouldn't get wet at all but that's not the case. There are a variety of size gaps in between each slot when it's closed. That was quite a disappointment for me for me. Water does what are does collect if it rains and it's closed. It's almost like a dunk machine when you open it up after a while after a rain . I guess that could be fun for the kids lol. It's not all bad it's a mixed review.I think the cost is too high but I guess they have to charge more since they're shipping itAnd do to the wait. You can get others For half the cost but none of them have the slat features I'm not madly in love with it but I do like it. I'm going to move it to a different spot soon. If you can get a better price than I did then it's worth it but it's definitely not worth the $600 I paid ... show more

    • Beautiful, but...
Be aware, this item is only 7 feet tall. In the picture it looks much taller. Also, just like the other customers who purchased it the item came with damaged poles etc. We were still able to use it but it's not perfect. I had to laugh at the little stakes provided to anchor it in grass. Those would be absolutely useless I can assure you. Even purchasing the upgraded "iron" version it is quite thin material. If this got blown over in the wind it would be destroyed. My husband and I are anchoring it to our concrete patio so for us that's not an issue. Both of us are just over 6 feet tall and strong, so the assembly wasn't too bad. I wouldn't recommend one person trying it. All in all I'm very happy with it so far. ... show more

We like this set very much, but we did find that there were some bends in the uprights that were not from shopping, based on how the poles came out of the box. It didn't affect assembly. We also found that it was easy to get confused about which direction to attached the top pieces based on the visuals in the manual. It would be super helpful if there were stickers with arrows or notches to line up as a guide. It's no big deal, but did end up taking an extra hour or so for what is essentially an easy installation. ... show more
