Let me begin by saying I am a 62 year old man that just started riding bikes regularly again 2 years ago for cardio after a heart attack, so I am not a bike expert by no means, we had some old Next bikes that we rode rarely before that and they where ok for casual riding but after a couple of years of riding 3 days a week and building up my endurance i was ready for a upgrade so i researched the available bikes in my price range and decided on the Schwinn Volare 1200. So far after 3 weeks of riding 60 plus miles I'm very pleased with the bike over all. The kickstand mount did break the first week when i rolled the bike backwards with it down, and the seat as stated by a lot of the other reviewers is not comfortable at all i replaced it with the Pioneeryao Professional Bicycle Bike Seat Gel Bike Saddle ($16) as suggested by another reviewer and for me it was a good improvement. The bike looked great when it arrived, packaged well and all parts protected. good looking frame with pretty welds, Some reviews mention that installation was a pain - I did not find this to be the case at all, but I'm pretty mechanically inclined, I did need to adjust the derailleurs which I had never done before but YouTube got it done . I do not like stickers so i removed all of them right away. I would differently recommend it ! ... show more

    • I don’t like the product I want my money back for the Schwinn bicycle.

I thought it was defective but it’s not. It’s really hard to ride when your just used to a BMX bike or a one speed bike. The seat is not comfortable. The bike is also very delicate. Good bike for what it’s for but they have advanced a lot. I’m don’t like this bike. Want my money back.

Assembly for the peddles was rediculously difficult (would not screw into position) - took half an hour just for this with three people trying. I was shocked when the peddle finally took to being screwed into its position - assembled. But then 10 days later, the peddle fell off, unable to be repositioned onto this (clearly poorly engineered new bike. I rejected the idea of taking the time of dissassembling the entire bike, repackaging it for shipment and then shipping back to a made in China rabbit hole with the then writing the case for the return back and forths. Rather, spending the money to get new peddles. Will take a moment however to advise people to NOT purchase this product. ... show more

You would think that the assembly instructions for a bike that is mostly pre-assembled would be a no-brainer. Well, that's exactly what this looks like - there were no brains used to write it. It is difficult to see and understand what the instructions are referring to at times and some parts that are pre-assembled are not tightened, so beware when you first test it! The gears would not shift at first. I tried tinkering as much as I could and achieved some success (about 50%), but still needed professional adjustments. Unless you are already a bike geek, you will need help with this. This bike is touted as a very good beginners bike, but even someone with a little bit of knowledge, like myself, will need some expert input and assistance just to make it worth riding. It is a good looking bike, with good design behind it. You'll just need more to get it going than if you bought it from a bike shop already in perfect riding condition. ... show more

Love the fact that it's light weight as well as huge bike got this for our son's birthday in March which is his birthstone as well as his favorite color he's 6ft 3 and this bike fits him hes 39 and we wanted to do something special for him as he's always working and on his days off always helping his family and friends never asks for anything a lot of the family and his friends have started riding bikes for exercise and having fun so he's enjoying this bike to the fullest it got here fast and was packaged very well no holes in box it rides smooth gears and breaks are great too we got him a thicker seat as well as a shock seat bar he gets lots of complements as well thanks Shwinn and Amazon this bike is a hit 😀 👍 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙 ... show more

Assembly was a bit difficult. Gears are a bit rough. My rear tire inner tube busted after one week riding.. but once I had a pro assemble it correctly it's now a great bike

Thank goodness my husband is very mechanically inclined because the incorrect instruction manual was included with this bike. In fact, once he realized the error, he assembled the bike sans the manual. But, it would’ve definitely come in handy as he needed the proper instructions to troubleshoot an issue with the frame. Otherwise, it’s a very nice bike for the money and will get plenty of use. ... show more
