First off - the price here is horrendous! Almost $40?! This stuff costs $4-5 a 14oz can at our local grocer. It is not on sale. Grocers are notoriously expensive for all non-food purchases and ours is worse than others as we are in a tiny rural town. This should be about $20 tops, and should be less for buying in bulk and less still for being on Amazon. It should definitely not be twice as expensive as my small town grocery store... That said... This stuff works great on ants and the fly one works great on flies! While it does actively KILL the ants, it also has a bit of a residue that - combined with those potent and pungent essential oils some folks are complaining about - keeps the dang things from coming back! So here are the Pros and Cons: 1. Scent - It's actually quite pleasant with everything considered. However, it is STRONG! The primary ingredients are essential oils and I believe - depending on the formula - there are peppermint, clove and/or rosemary oils in this stuff. Again, it's pungent as it is strong enough to kill bugs. I would recommend spraying liberally and then opening all your windows to air out a bit - if it's not breezy you could probably open your windows beforehand, but you wouldn't want this in your eyes. 2. Effectiveness - We get black house ants like crazy every summer. They want in. They want water. They want to make a home inside your sock drawer. They are ANNOYING! Well with the combo of this killing most of the ants and destroying the chemical trail of the others this spray stop ants dead. I prefer to spray outside when I can - it's strong smelling! - and I spray around all the windows, doors, vents and crannies. It works very well and seems to last quite awhile as we have a dry climate with almost zero rain in summer. If I have to I will spray inside and it works very well. Again, I usually do a ring around any place they are coming in or scouting so I will do inner windows, base boards, door jams, etc. 3. Long lasting - Depending on where I spray and the weather this can last weeks before I need to spray again and I've spray as little as a few times during the bad ant seasons of late spring - summer - early fall. 4. Safe - Number one - it's still chemicals - even if they are natural - so be careful. Don't spray skin or eyes. Try not to breathe it. Rinse immediately on eye contact or if you notice ANY issues. Let the room air out and don't subject your pets to sitting in a cloud of spray. Take kitty in another part of the house and take doggie for a walk while things air out. Let them decide when they want to go back in the room. Our dogs leave the room but will return for bed time, for example. That said, this is - barring allergy - probably not going to hurt anyone but bugs. I would worry about amphibians and not ever spray directly, but assume they would avoid the smelly place by instinct and I've never seen our tree frogs, toads or profuse quantity of reptile friends look disturbed. Bottom line: I love essential oils and I love this product. I feel better using it than I have with any other product and to top it off it's been SO effective for us. So has the fly spray - we have horses and sometimes it's just bad in the summer and they go everywhere, the little buggers! Anyway, wholeheartedly recommend! But don't get ripped off. This current price at 2x the price of the tiny cans at our grocer is highway robbery, imo. UPDATE 10/29/2017: The listed price is now more in line with what it should be at ~$21. It now matches the cost of the small 14 oz spray bottles available at our - pricy because it is a small rural town - grocer. This is a reasonably fair price and this is a good product if you want to get rid of ants without spraying more toxic chemicals in your home.

I've had to deal with bed bugs 3 times. The first time was about 12 years ago when I first found this stuff. Now I swear by it! Bedbugs in my home disappear within days after applying it to everything.... walls, baseboards, furniture, etc. Since my landlord cut down a couple of huge trees next to my apartment we have also been infested with ants and roaches. This is the first time in 30 years I've had to deal with roaches! I've sprayed it EVERYWHERE. INSTANTLY the ants and the gnats were gone. It's taken a bit longer to get rid of the roaches but I never see any big ones anymore and I only occasionally see babies so it's working. It's funny to see them walk on walls that haven't been sprayed and then venture onto walls that have been sprayed! They literally stop in their tracks! I was once given an analogy that diatomaceous earth to bugs is like a beach full of razor blades to us. This stuff just proves it! I have DE in powder form that I use outside on my covered porches and in my carpets but this stuff works for spraying the walls the furniture and my cabinets. By the way I have 3 indoor and outdoor cats. None of them are bothered by it once they get accustomed to the smell. My daughter's boyfriend just moved into an apartment and started getting bit up by bedbugs within days. The apartment office blames him for them and wants to charge him $150 for an exterminator to come in and spray. I gave him the half bottle that I had left and they're not bothering him so much now. Because they were mostly in the bedroom against a neighboring apartment (he himself is on an end corner), I plan to give him a gallon to give to his neighbor to hopefully put an end to the infestation. I will NEVER hesitate to recommend this stuff for bug problems! It works!

There have been many complaints about 1) the product arriving without the green spray nozzle, 2) arriving with 1/3 of the contents missing and 3) the "horrendous odor". My product did indeed arrive without the green nozzle but Amazon immediately sent me another bottle with the nozzle at no charge. Both bottles appear to be missing one third of the liquid - HOWEVER - when I poured the contents into a measuring jug the measurement was correctly 64 ounces. Finally, I have chronic asthma which is instantly triggered by chemical smells. While the product does in fact have a very powerful odor, it did not trigger my asthma! I sprayed the entire house with all doors and windows open and large box fans running. I left the windows open with fans running for about 3 hours after which I was left with a very pleasant, fresh smelling house. The odor of the product when first sprayed reminds me of a shop filled with scented candles which is very overpowering - however, when you bring just one or two candles home and burn them, they are very pleasant (the before and after example of spraying Ecosmart). Oh, and the product effectively kills bugs - especially the grain mite infestation that I had in my house and my cats have not been adversely affected by the product (big PRO!) FINALLY - FOR THE ATTENTION OF AMAZON. . . . . . .I was about to place an order for two more bottles of Ecosmart and discovered that you have more than doubled the price in less than a week!!!! There is a notice saying that the product is under investigation by Amazon and yet it is still for sale . . . . .at more than DOUBLE THE PRICE!!! I am extremely displeased!!!! It is available at Target.Com for $9.99 with free shipping if you spend over $25.00 (which is easy to do). I would prefer to purchase this from Amazon as a long time loyal customer, but not at your current price of $21.47!!!!!!!
