I realize people are raving about this scooter. Ecomobi M4-309S. However, I am not in that category. I cannot give this all 5 stars at all. Because I have skeletal issues, and do not walk, I have been on mobility scooters for the past 10 years. I own 4 Pride Go-Go Elite Travelers, 4 wheel. I love them, however, I needed lightweight smaller scooters, to be able to lift them into a Tesla Model Y, which only has 43 inches width. So I thought the Ecomobii would be perfect fit. I bought two. The second one is for my husbnd who also has difficulty walking long distances. Yes they did fold down and fit fine. They were light enough to get into the car, although, we had to drop the passenger seats to make them fit. BUT, maneuvering inside a store is terrible. This four wheel model, the tires hit the frame and will not let you turn properly. You have to back up and do it again. This problem is constant. Then there is the matter of the seat. Of course, the entire scooter is one piece so the seat does not, cannot swivel 360 degrees. I am 5' 1" and after a ride of only 30 minutes the seat cuts into your legs and they go to sleep. The back has no padding, and pushes you forward, and the steering column has handle bar grips, but the throttle on both sides, right and left require you to reach way over the handle bars to try to pull the throttle to go forward or backward. This is awkward and it starts to make your hands ache. Then there is the problem of the basket. Because of the turning problems, I took the basket off, and replaced it with a soft square backpack, from Amazon, then I took a mattress pad, cut it up and added padding to the back of the seat. Then the floor mat that fits over the battery and under your feet keep sliding off, I used velcro to keep it in place. Still this is absolutely not my favorite scooter. I bought two of these one pink and one red but they are not worth the headaches just for the size. I believe I will try the Drive Medical Scout, price range is $799 - $825. It is one with a feather-touch disassembly, but the heaviest part is only 29 lbs. And if I get the 3 wheel instead of the four, it checks the box of maneuverability and the seat that rotates 360 degrees and the seat is well padded. I would take off the basket, and the seats arm rests. Two of these will fit in the back, side by side in the car's cargo area, no problem and the passenger seats can remain up and usable. for me, this Ecomobis were a impulsive mistake, I should have done more research. I have had these two for two months. Not a good fit for me or my husband. The one good thing, is when I bought 2 of these, I paid only $499 each, now I see they are priced at $699. Definitely not worth the price. And by the way, when people do a review for their Dad or other family member, the person doing the review has no clue, unless they are the one actually using the scooter all the time to understand how bad and uncomfortable it really is. However, if this is the only scooter the family member has ever had, then I can understand how grateful the user feels, just to be able to move and have some semblance of freedom. I apologize if I sound critical, I only meant to have people see the real pros and cons instead of just saying it is great, when it lacks so much. ... show more

We bought this for an up and coming trip because I have mobility problems. We needed one that folded completely up for air travel. This one did the trick!! I only wish it had more longevity on the battery. But overall a great buy!!
