Engine runs well, had to adjust idle speed but other than that has needed no tinkering. Plenty of power. Plastic shrouding on engine is janky, but doesn't affect operation. Starts right up every time and is pretty powerful. The attachments are great and overall the product seems to be of good quality. My only complaint is that when operating, the exhaust seems to blow straight up into my face. It’s enough to where I have to pretty much hold my breath when digging and take a break to breathe if I have a deeper hole. Not sure if this is a problem with this particular item or if all are this way, but it’s bad enough that I haven’t spent very long using it at any given time. It does get the job done though if you can manage to not breathe the exhaust. ... show more

This auger saved me a lot of effort. Works well in clay, loam, sand. I built 3700 feet of fence I drilled over 100 holes with this auger and had very little issue with it. This thing is very powerful, one strong man can run it by himself but for most men it would take two.

This works good for what I need, but you really have to be careful that it doesn't throw you. The larger dia. auger is a bit much for me but my son does pretty good with it. Great to have around for the occasional fence post hole that needs to be dug.

Right now, I haven’t used it yet. I got it today and when I inboxed it, the air filter is already broken. Like, to the point I will have to tape it to use it. But, I guess it will have to work because I am starting to build a 400 foot fence and I won’t get a replacement before I start, so, here goes to using it Edit to add: it’s been almost 4 months. I took the filter cover off and have dug out over 100 post holes. Still running strong. I have used it to build my fence, dig holes for posts for a large chicken coop, a corral for my goats and the post holes for a 17x32 front porch. I’m impressed ... show more

I'm using this at altitude (7500 feet). Unlike some other 2-stroke engines this fired up right out of the box & continues to do so. Pull rope is stiff still, a little hard starting, takes 2-3 pulls. Only complaint is that the augers are pretty dull (I'm digging in hard, sandy-clay soil) so have to take a file to the cutting edges. Well worth the money & a real labor saver... 20 seconds to do what'd take 1/2 an hour. Happy customer ) ... show more

This has a very HARD kick when it hits a rock. I could not do it. It felt like it twisted and broke my arm. Hurt for a week. My husband uses it fine but has yelped a few times when it yanked hard. The item works perfectly. We love it. It is just the nature of the beast. Be CAREFUL AND READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS AND EXPECT IT IS NOT GOING TO BE FUN IF YOU HIT A ROCK OR BRANCH. ... show more

    • Will tear your arms off if you aren't very careful.
Style: Digger & 6" 10" Bits & Rod Kit
Instructions are next to useless, very bad translation of poor instructions to begin with. Luckily it's not an overly complicated motor to start and run. Biggest issue is that if you hit a rock or a root or anything that stops the auger there's nothing at all to stop the motor from spinning around and that will hurt to varying degrees depending on how fast you were going and how tightly you're holding on. There is no safety feature to this thing to prevent the motor from slinging you off. If you're in decent ground it does what it's supposed to do, but even small stones will stop that auger in its tracks and pull the motor out of your hands. If you get one of these, go really easy on the throttle and be ready to let go. I was able to use this to dig a hole in stages, using a manual post hole digger to pull out any rocks that stopped the auger, so it is usable for me. ... show more
