  • Lightweight and Multifunctional
Style: Keyboard
***Update 2022*** Owned it for two years and stillperforms like new. Connects easily to my Hisense smart TV, making navigating Google TV an excellent experience. Pairs nicely and plays well as in all in one input decilvice for the Steam Deck I’ve owned the Logitech K600TV for a few months now and this is my unbiased review/opinion. Being a user of the Logitech K480 keyboard I had no problems with initial setup. THE QUICK READ Overall, I think the layout and functionality of the Logitech K600TV is great for the various use cases of the keyboard. I would love for it to have come with built in clips or longer rubber feet to make the keyboard more ergonomic. You can’t beat the features and portability of this mighty little deck! I also paired it with a case to protect it from pet hair and keep it safe from bumps while in my backpack. Link to the case: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TTBDF2F/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 QUICK NOTE: If you are looking for a keyboard for your PS4 this keyboard is not compatible with it. The Logitech K480 works great though. SETUP, FEATURES, FUNCTIONALITY, COMPATIBILITY REVIEW Firstly, I don’t use this keyboard connected with a smart tv. I purchased this keyboard for use with my Google Pixel Slate Chromebook tablet. For this purpose the K600 is wonderful. I connect the keyboard via bluetooth and the Chromebook recognizes it without any issue. All the buttons function as intended. If you don’t have a ChromeOS specific shortcut key you can hold down the FN key and the accompanying function key at the top of the keyboard to get the job done. The Pixel Slate switches to desktop mode as soon as it is connected to the keyboard. I also tried the keyboard connected via the supplied USB dongle and putting the keyboard in ChromeOS mode was simple. If you need any help just refer to the website listed in the packaging. *IF you want to pair the K600 using the dongle you SHOULD NOT pair it with a device via bluetooth and Easy-Switch key number 1. This will disable any device from using the dongle connection and you have to use Logitech’s software to reassign the button to the dongle connection. TYPING EXPERIENCE Typing on the Logitech K600 is laptop smooth. The keys are not mushy, they have a quick actuation, and my finger types fit the rounded keys perfectly. I do a lot of blogging and homeschool planning with this keyboard and my typing accuracy via this keyboard is better than I was getting with the Logitech K480. The keys on that keyboard don’t respond fast enough for my needs. The keys on this keyboard are as whisper quiet compared to the K480. Since I do more work at night while everyone else in my household is sleeping I prefer this, even if I am still partial to a mechanical keyboard with blue switches. If you want a bluetooth keyboard that is closer to a mechanical with good clackiness go for the k480. DEVICE COMPATIBILITY For my needs, the K600 fits my lifestyle. I work and play on my Pixel Slate while sending the occasional text or email using a LG V30 Android device. I also own a Windows 10 laptop that my son uses. This keyboard is connected to all three devices and switching between devices is as simple as pressing a button. I haven’t experienced any bluetooth disconnects either. The Logitech K600 does not work well with the Logitech M557 bluetooth mouse. The mouse causes the keyboard to double and triple letters while typing via a bluetooth connection. TRACKPAD AND MOUSE FUNCTIONS I think the trackpad on this keyboard is a good size. It is compact, but I can still use three finger gestures when needed. I use the left and right mouse click buttons way more than I initially thought I would. They are great for selecting text in a document while editing. The D-pad located at the top right of the keyboard is also good for productivity and screen scrolling. Button in the middle of the D-pad acts as a left mouse click. ***UPDATE*** New k600tv keyboard test after trying to connect different. If you have a bluetooth mouse connected and the keyboard does not type correctly try this. Unplug the keyboard dongle. Put the keyboard in pairing mode using a different EasySwitch key. In my case I used #2. Pair the keyboard using bluetooth. Problem solved. This allows you to keep the keyboard connection tied to the dongle and still use the keyboard in bluetooth mode. This solved the problem I was having with my Logitech M557 bluetooth mouse and the K600 not cooperating well together. So, in short, DON’T pair the keyboard via multiswitch #1 it can cause problems with the keyboard when other devices are connected. Honestly, this makes the keyboard only able to connect to two devices via bluetooth and one via the USB dongle. If you ever need to reset the dongle and pair it back to EasySwitch 1 you need a computer able to run the Logitech Unifying Receiver software. This software will also allow you to pair other Logitech unified devices to the dongle supplied with the keyboard. I have included a screenshot of the Logitech FAQ on how to to this. This is great if you love this keyboard but still prefer an external mouse for some tasks. ... show more

  • Multi-Computer / Device Nirvana
Style: Keyboard
I have a home office where I have a computer, a tablet and a phone. I work on my computer and use my tablet all day long, so I have to love my keyboard and pointing device. I also have a music studio where I have another computer. I have the Logitech keyboard (K380) but that didn't solve the mouse for every device problem. As far as I know, there are no 3 device switching mice out there. I have enough mice, it is just inconvenient to switch between them all the time. I was looking for a solution that would cover it all, and this thing does it. Firstly, the keyboard is EXACTLY the same as the K380. Same size, same keyboard layout, same action. They added extra buttons added to support the touch pad, a cursor pad etc. The extra buttons work in Android and are super useful. Observations - People have complained that it is small... it is small. I like small so I am good. - It works great with bluetooth (I haven't even plugged in the dongle or tried it with my TV) - It works great with Windows and Android with pointing device and keyboard - Pairing was super easy - Mouse buttons on the left side of the keyboard are perfect - For my music studio, I am mostly playing instruments and recording... I don't have room for a full keyboard and mouse I have done away with a keyboard tray, and just set this think on my lap. It has cleaned up my desk a lot. After one day of use, I am almost completely comfortable with it, and plan to use it as my main keyboard / pointing device combo for my work. ... show more

  • Great functionality, but a couple missing features that are killing me from time to time
Style: Keyboard
INTRO/WHY I CHOSE THIS Before I bought the Logitech K600 TV, I had tried a few other solutions for controlling both my Samsung Smart TV from 2016 and my Windows/Linux desktop. This product looked best as it had 3 dedicated pairing slots for the TV, the Windows side of the desktop and the Linux side of the desktop. The K400 was SO unbearably close to what I needed but didn't quite fit the bill. So I went with this guy for more than twice the price. THE GOOD Oh there is so much to like! - The circular touchpad, one of the weirder features, actually fit my needs nicely as I didn't need the mouse on the TV, just the computer. - The D-pad is a great addition missing on the K400. - The buttons are responsive and somewhat tactile, but if you're a keyboard snob, look elsewhere. - The plastic is very close to soft-touch plastic. It feels great in your hands and the light weight of the keyboard enabled by the material choices allows it to float on your lap without you feeling it's there. - The FUNCTIONALITY. Good Lord, this is exactly what I wanted to replace the old keyboard, mouse, and remote combo I had to deal with. Now my coffee table is that much more clear of gadgets and has space for drinks, games, etc that I didn't have before. - The batteries last a long time, I haven't had an issue with any of Logitech's items. Thanks to Bluetooth Low Energy (which this uses, so ensure your BT connected devices are compatible!) this puppy will *hopefully* last for months without a battery change. I have owned a lot of Logitech products, so I would expect nothing less from this brand. - There is a slight rise towards the back of the keyboard. Thanks Logitech for staving off my carpal tunnel for just a little bit longer. WHAT'S MISSING As other reviewers caution, there are a few things missing with this design - The keyboard automatically uses slot 1 for the USB key included (Unifying receiver), so if you pair with Bluetooth on slot 1, you will need the Unifying software to pair the Unfiying receiver to another slot on the keyboard (I'm not even sure that slots 2 and 3 support the Unifying receiver though) - There is NO IR BLASTER (LED) ON THE KEYBOARD. For a lot of TVs this means you can turn the TV off with the keyboard, but CANNOT turn it on without using a remote, the buttons on the TV, or some other device which has this feature. - There is NO guarantee that every key on the keyboard maps perfectly with the label on the key for every smart TV app. I paired to my Samsung Smart TV with the Unifying receiver. When I set up the receiver (*in a Windows computer's browser) I was told to setup Fn + 4 for the correct keyboard firmware/key-bindings/settings to be loaded on the keyboard. Supposedly this made all the keys correctly enter the symbols on the key into the TV, but this IS NOT ALWAYS the case. In certain apps, like YouTube, you would think you could just tap the letter keys and spell out your search query (yay for no botched speech to text, right? WRONG!), but instead I found that some letter keys were bound to OTHER keys and only some were actually letter keys. On my first attempt I could not type in E, H, J, P, and a few other letters (I forget which). This was very frustrating as this was a primary purpose I had for the keyboard. Luckily the arrow keys, and other important keys still worked as expected. Netflix, Disney+, and Vudu all had the same issue. I tried several different firmwares (I ditched around with Fn + a number key) and still didn't get anywhere with this. If anyone knows how to fix this issue, please post that in a review here for me! Thanks in advance! - The touchpad is circular, so why the FREAK didn't they take the chance to make it a scroll wheel too? An iPod-style click wheel would make this thing TEN times more useable for me. CONCLUSION Some TVs will work without what is missing, so this isn't a review to scare you away, just to caution you. I took a star away because I WANT the next gen of this product to be BETTER and not settle for less. I waited a long time for a successor to the K400 and I did not wait in vain. *If* you need this, try it out. If you are just looking for a keyboard for just your smart TV, maybe check that the TV is compatible first and be wary of mismatched or missing key-bindings/assignments. ... show more
