The Eclipse 5/8" Wrap Around Room Darkening Curtain Rod is designed to wrap around your window frame to block light, save energy, and reduce noise. The silver finished steel telescoping rod adjusts from 28 inches to 48 inches in length to fit a variety of window sizes and projects 3.125 inches from the wall. New and improved stronger metal brackets install quickly and easily while concealing the mounting screws and hardware. Use in your kitchen, bedroom, dining room, or living room to hang light to medium weight curtains. It is ideal for hanging curtains with grommets, back tabs, or pockets, but can also be used with tab tops or clip rings. Pair with Eclipse Light Filtering, Room Darkening, or Black Out curtain panels (sold separately) to maximize light blocking, energy saving, and noise reduction features. Room Darkening Rod Set Includes: one telescoping steel curtain rod, two metal mounting brackets, screws, drywall anchors, and installation instructions.

Only negative for me was that the pin that holds the rod to the bracket just lifts out. For home use this isn’t a problem, but I got them for my RV. I’ll have to find a way to secure them better.

Affordable, yes. Quality, lacking (cheap in feel - material, etc...) Installation was interesting in relation to the design; in a good way! Lightweight. Easy to install. Color is off from the description. It's more of an iridescent white-ish silver. Such a neat way to have designed a curtain rod. The wrap around feature is different than others I have purchased in the past. The rod sits easily in the holes of the wall mounted ends. The installation of these mounts was WAY EASY and they stay on the wall well. This did not come with wall anchors so I highly recommend purchasing those as well. ... show more

Easy to install, I like the quick release pin on this new version vs the old version I have in another room. I did have a moment of inner turmoil standing on the ladder looking at a drill, a hammer, and the dry wall anchors. "I'm either about to hang curtains, or I'm gonna have to patch drywall again. Let's find out" I used a 3/16" drill bit for the anchor holes then gently tapped the anchors in, the rest was easy. ... show more

These are fantastic. The perfect size and super easy to install. It took my husband and I about fifteen minutes to do two windows with curtains. Plan on buying more when we get our new house.
