The Echogear is a Very Hi-Tech Looking Device, with the Bright Neon Green. I located it behind the TV, so nobody is likely to notice. I obsoleted a six outlet surge protector and a 6 outlet wall extender with this device. And, I have 3 regular and 2 very wide spaced outlets leftover. The Echogear 12 Outlet Surge Protector is both functionally outstanding and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Meaning dazzlingly beautiful, magnificent, characterized by virtuosic brilliance, wonderful, and delightful, as power strips go. I ordered two and am ordering more. It works is all i can say but only one side lights up so im guessing im only protected by one side the other side works but the light is not on so im guessing im not protected on that side wish I could have had both lights i wont return it cuz i really dont want to unplug everything an wait for another one wish this one came exactly as described. ... show more

    • Great Surge Suppressor
We lost power after a bad storm and ran on generator power for a few days. When the power was restored, I checked the surge suppressors in the hours and saw that most of them were acting as power strips. They had done their job and handled whatever surge came thru. I ordered the low profile 3420 joule 12 outlet Echogear Surge Suppressor for my computer & external drives. Ordered the 8 outlet versions for the kitchen laptop, smart TVs, home theatre, cable modem, etc. The low profile makes it easier to mount or hide the unit. The extra wide space was great for the items with power adapters... no blocking other plugs. My only wish list item would be a longer power cord for the 12 outlet unit. I had to re-arrange my office because the cord is only 6 feet long. About a week after I installed the Echogear units, there was a house fire on our street. Turned out that the culprit was a power strip that used an extension cord for the electrical outlet. After that event, I made the rounds and replaced surge suppressors, power strips and extension cords for our older relatives. ... show more
