Price is right
Battery is capable of cutting at least 1/3 face cord (maple). I stop and recharge when only one light is showing. I Haven’t had to sharpen the chain for six recharge cycles. Nice that you can see the rising bar oil through the tank as it approaches the fill cap.

Charges slow
This beats my 80v Kobalt 14” bar all day long. Good saw

Cuts fast but it likes to throw chains.
Powerful saw and cuts fast but… although the chain is correctly mounted and tensioned it keeps throwing the chain. Part of the problem may be the flimsy bar.

Should have bought this years ago
Was doubtful till I used it, but it does cut a lot better than a corded electric, and good enough I don't have to deal with the gas saw on my few trees now. Nice to just slip in a battery and pull the trigger to cut. Best to drain the chain oil before sitting in the garage or shed, it slowly drains out. Gas saw does that too, though. It's almost as heavy as my gas saw, but I think it's easier to use. I cut a lot of wood with it, but admit it takes a while, you'll charge batteries often trying to cut up 20 or 30 feet of tree over a foot in diameter. Not a problem for an old guy that needs frequent breaks anyway.

Good saw. Additional/replacement batteries are very expensive.
The saw itself is quite nice and cuts well. Saw did not come with a chainsaw tool to loosen the bar and adjust chain tension. And additional batteries are stupid expensive. Amazon has them for $235!

very good power, easy to use, not overly heavy for an 18 inch chainsaw.
Bought this saw for cutting at home, mostly. Keeps the noise down, no starting problems, cuts very well. I recently changed inserts on my fireplace and had a lot of wood cut for the older, much larger firebox, and I have been using this saw to cut those big pieces down to proper size for the new insert.

Enjoying my Echo 5000 battery chainsaw
I am loving this chainsaw - very powerful and easy to use for most light to medium duty farm level chores.
