First off, this is pretty easy to build. It takes about 30 minutes if you have things in order. It came in a box that the delivery driver was unsure if it should be delivered. So the cardboard was separated, shredded, and unfit. Luckily the inside was crated in supporting cardboard forms. The biggest problem is that there is a second box. It's the glass surround that sits on the table. When this ships, that is not included and apparently will come "later." Well, it's been a couple of weeks, and later never came. Amazon was great about it; they sent me another one, but the entire table. So it's on the way, and I'm hoping the second box also comes, eventually. The table without a shroud is OK. You'll want the glass; it helps prevent the searing heat from escaping onto the tabletop. The wicker-like material is excellent and seems like it will be waterproof. The product gets four stars for all the shipping confusion, but I'll bump it to five if I get the glass shroud in one piece. UPDATE: East Oak Makes Things Right East Oak customer service reached out directly to fix the missing box problem. It's taken a while, but the table with the good-looking tempered glass shroud is a delight to use. I'm updating my review to five stars. If, for some reason, you don't get both boxes, reach out to East Oak, and hopefully, they will make things right.

We have a fairly large outdoor porch in the front of our house and so that is where we decided to place this table. We didn't think we'd be able to use the flame because it's so hot but just yesterday we were able to sit outside in the cool air and use the flame just to test it out. It's so nice. Needless to say our neighbor has already come over to ask about the table and comment on how nice it looks. As a mother, I personally love that there is a top to cover the lava rocks and my young children don't even know that there is a flame that comes out. My husband and I plan to just use it for nights when it's just the two of us (and it's cooler).

Solid build quality from East Oak. Easy to assemble and I love that it has a lid to convert to an actual table use. Nice size for a small patio too. It is pretty heavy though especially with a tank installed. Don't expect to move it around too much.

Full Disclosure: I received this product free of charge [Amazon Vine program] in exchange for my true, honest, and unbiased product review and evaluation, which follows: This is an excellent fire pit table in every respect. It is very well made with high-quality material(s). Very solid (heavy) and well built, with an excellent finish. Fire pit table is easy to assemble. Mine arrived with some minor shipping damage (cosmetic) to the tabletop. I reached out to East Oak customer service and they were very helpful in addressing my issue, and I now have a new tabletop on its way. This level of after sale service is getting harder to find and is very much appreciated. Table has some very nice features for the price; including the lid that allows for use as an actual table, electronic ignition, a magnetized side panel for integrated lid storage, and an included internal basket for storing a cover. It is nice that aside from a tank and fuel, this fire pit table is ready to use out of the box, as it includes the lava rock. I will be using fire-glass instead of the included lava rock, as the lava rock has some safety concerns for me, as it can crack and send small pieces of rock flying if used with any moisture (rain/water) is trapped in the lava rock...I learned this the hard way with my built-in fire pit. And a couple of other things to consider to further enjoy and protect this awesome fire-pit table; consider getting a quality cover, as well as a glass wind guard (available from East Oak). Bottom line, this awesome fire-pit table offers excellent quality and value, as well as exceptional service (if required). I would order again without hesitation, and I HIGHLY recommend.

I have friends with a gas fire pit like this and I was not impressed with the heat coming off of it. This unit has a much higher BTU rating and it shows! It arrived well packaged and the instructions were written in clear english and easy to follow. In about 25 minutes this was all assembled and the great design features started to show. All the screws were the same, it came with adjustable legs and most importantly the top sticks to the back via magnets when not in use. It has a nice finish on it, kind of a pebble finish if you will. I fired it up and the flame and heat were amazing - even on low. On high, it's awesome. It comes with 4lbs of lava rocks but I would certainly buy more - like 8-10 lbs more. The inside basket is the only semi-flaw as it doesn't really stay in place very well. I did buy a cover for it and it fits nicely in there but when I take it out the shelf doesn't want to stay put. All in all, minor issues but none of them show stoppers on this otherwise top notch fire pit. It's just heavy enough, looks great and kicks off a wonderful flame. I'm very happy I got this.
