This is an excellent product as the reviews would lead you to believe. The bracket is very strong and easy to install. I have a 125+ lb (could be 150, not positive) heavy bag hanging from it, and it has absolutely no issue. I am a large guy, 6'3" 230 lbs, with 15+ years of Karate and Kickboxing experience. This thing has absolutely no problem sustaining heavy blows in succession. With the chain and spring added, the swivel on the bracket rarely needs to move, but is very smooth when it does. One additional positive is not only does the hook/loop swivel, but the hook/loop hinges on the bracket so it can swing but more importantly it doesn't need to hang perfectly vertical. ... show more

    • Important installation Information for anyone wondering

11/16 or 17mm are the socket sizes you need. Make sure you have those, plus a ratchet driver, before installing. A second set of hands helps. I just installed this hanger this morning and it took about 30 minutes total. I purchased an impact driver because I knew I'd be drilling into thick ceiling joists and the screws are absolutely massive. I drilled two small pilot holes after marking where I wanted the bag, and then used an impact driver to push them in. Due to the minimum socket width, I could only push the screws in about 3/4th of the way, so I used a 3/8" ratchet and a 17mm socket to finish it the rest of the way. The product comes with no manual or instructions at all. One thing to note is you need to disassemble it completely in order to mount the bracket first. Then, once mounted, you'd assemble the hanger by threading the bolt through the black spacers and the hanging link itself. Overall, I'm satisfied with this product and after seeing how solid it is, I'm not concerned at all that I'll have any issues with it. ... show more

I’ve been looking for ways to train at home and this seemed like a great solution. My dad and I hung this on a slanted ceiling by securing a wood piece to a support beam and then added the bracket. It’s holding a 40lb bag that I use for hitting and kicking. Deciding on the right place to install took some time but actual installation was a few minutes. We’ve had it up for about a week and I’ve used it everyday with no issues. It swings a lot, which is what I wanted, but the added motion doesn’t impact the bracket’s stability. It also comes with a clip that I didn’t use but it was a nice touch. I can’t testify to how it would do with a 100lb or heavier bag but for my 40lb bag it’s working great! ... show more

The instructions call out for a 19mm socket, that is not correct, atleast not for the lag bolts that were sent to me. The correct socket was a 17mm. (See images for the 19mm call out and the 17mm I used) The instructions weren't bad but I wasn't in love with how tight the holes are to the inside swivel as it made it tight to get those in straight. Definitely get one started then work them down a little at a time. Overall not bad, time will tell how well it holds up, but seems solid. ... show more

Heavy duty and works great. Have one holding up my aqua heavy bag and another one in my son’s toy room that holds an indoor swing for him. He’s on the spectrum and so is his brother and this holds their wild swinging no problem. Just make sure you mount it to a solid point (studs)

Easy to install, great quality, safe to use! I have two of these and they easily support my 100lb heavy bag. Rated much heavier and I believe it. I attach them to exposed beams in my apt.. Holding up nicely after much love/abuse! *** For sound reduction, consider getting a spring. Pros: 1) spring will absorb much of the force of the swinging bag - instead of directly on the beam - reducing noise and house shaking. Cons: 1) spring will disrupt desired pendulum effect… bag will likely bounce; 2) spring lowers bag several inches… no more head shots, but perfect for kicks/body shots! ... show more
