    • Do not buy this if you expect to use on carpet
I bought this being that I have never had an issue with a Dyson before. This is not a good product if you use it as your vacuum for your carpet. It will not pick up anything on carpet. It just shoves it around. It is nice as a hand held for furniture or your car, although at this price i would have expected more from Dyson. Bottom line, if you want to vacuum your carpet with this look else where ... show more

I can't even begin to describe how much easier this vacuum has made my life. My old vacuum used a bag, weighed a ton and had a cord which made it challenging to do stairs and reach high places. This Dyson V8 is a dream seriously. I have all hard wood floors and this thing picks up everything and if something is too big I just take off the attachment and suck it up. I do the stairs, no problem. I vacuumed my car and it was awesome. This thing makes me want to vacuum more. The only thing that I wish is the battery lasted longer, but that's a very minor thing for how much it does. ... show more
