I’m getting old and we just went from carpet to flooring so this vacuum has been perfect for me. It’s not too heavy and yet does an excellent job of flooring and furniture. I use maximum strength on the carpet we do have and it works great for that but does use up the battery faster.

    • Best vacuum EVER!
This is my second one. My first one lasted me twenty years. Great suction, but the battery eventually kicked the bucket. This tool is NOT optional. I would never compromise with a cheap knock-off. The Dyson is worth every penny.

    • With Dyson Vacuuming is Not a Chore Anymore
I LOVE MY DYSON! I avoided buying one for so long because I thought it was too expensive. Plus, when Dyson vacuums came out, they were quite the trendy item to get. I bought this one from the Amazon Warehouse, like-new with an excellent price for me. First thing, when I vacuumed my carpet I noticed the fine dust particles in the canister. The vacuum was REALLY suctioning up the dirt!!! It's lightweight and easy to manage, the accessories are very versatile to use for using near the ceiling (spider webs), or under my bed. LOVE it that the joints allow the long beater brush attachment to extend under the bed. That's a solid winner for me! It's portable, small footprint (tucks away in a small closet), and the motor easily adapts for vacuuming the car too. So far the battery is holding the charge pretty well after extensive use.     • MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT IN DYSON
Total waste of money. I should have paid attention to the 1-star reviews and given it a thorough workout before the return window of ONLY ONE MONTH expired. And my call to Dyson was fruitless. The "40 minute run time" is a joke, if not a flat-out lie. I'm lucky to get 15 minutes of run time out of it. And then it takes HOURS to charge. But hey, one benefit of the short run time is that my trigger finger can recover — you have to depress the trigger the whole time you are using it, which is painful — it doesn't just click on and off like MOST VACUUMS. The dust canister is a nightmare to remove from the handle/battery assembly, and right now I can't even get it back together. And it works well only on floors or very low-pile carpets. Forget about it if you have a deeper pile carpet. It just gets stuck in place to the carpet. Powerful suction, but otherwise useless, and in my opinion a piece of plastic garbage. I am stunned that a Dyson vacuum is THIS BAD, especially one that cost so much. I purchased this to replace another brand that was recalled. I have no idea why it was recalled, but my older cordless vacuum worked much better, the battery lasted much longer, took much less time to charge, and clicked on and off, so I did not have to hold the trigger in the whole time I was using it. Also, my previous vacuum had a battery that removed from the unit for charging. This Dyson battery is built into the handle/canister unit, so I can't even try ordering a replacement battery. Product not what I expected. Vacuum is limited performance due the small size drum. Speed work excellent, vacuum is light , easy to dump out clogging.

    • Great Cordless but short battery life.
The media could not be loaded. I really love my Dyson. But two glaring mistakes stick out with this one. First, the battery dies FAST! We thought it was too fast and even had Dyson send us a replacement- nope. Just dies fast is all. You'll get about 30 minutes on reg power and about 15 on high. Then, it takes like 3 hours to charge. Second? The design of the wall hanger is weird. Every time we hang up to charge we have to really give it a good push and it's gotten to the point that tie cord is now permanently bent. Hopefully we dont meed to replace in a year. Other than that, the suction is SUPERIOR to anything else on the market, which is I guess what we pay for. So, I'm still happy I bought it, but a longer battery life and less charging time would definitely be helpful. ... show more

    • The only one for pet owners
This is my second Dyson in a different home; my first is a V6 that still works like new. I have tried all other vacuums; if you have dogs, nothing compares to Dyson's performance. I also have robots, but robots take a while to clean and need babysitting. With the Dyson, it is quick and easy. Do not waste your money; go for what works. As mentioned before, this is my second one, but the V6 I previously purchased is 10 years old, and I have replaced the battery once. This particular version has an exceptional attachment for hair removal that will remove even the most stubborn hair from surfaces. I carry my dog in the back of my car, and the hair sticks to the carpeted walls. I used this attachment to clean the wall as if I were cleaning a bare floor. The vacuum will not disappoint you. I can also use regular deodorant tablets on the filter to prevent foul odors. ... show more

I got this vacuum as a gift and let me tell you, I am absolutely over the moon excited for a vacuum for the first time in my life! The night it appeared on my doorstep it was put to use as I zoomed around the house picking up dirt and dust. The attachments are a bonus in that I can even clean my car out!
