After going through many different makes of vacuum cleaners, I have finally found one that works for the fur of our long-haired dog. I had heard how great the Dyson series of vacuums were, but was always put off by the cost. Finally, after being frustrated by other brands which were effective for a period, but then became more useful as doorstops than as a cleaner, I made the decision to "bite the bullet" and spend the extra money on the brand name vacuum. The first time I used my Dyson, it picked up handfuls of fur from areas that I thought were clean. The carpets look cleaner, and hardwood floors pristine. Suction is strong even on the lower setting to make floors look like new. Emptying the canister is as easy as could be. Battery life is sufficient to clean my small home. I love that by placing the Dyson in the wall hanger it attaches directly to the charger. No searching for charging cords, or charging/change detachable batteries. My Dyson is always ready and charged whenever I need it. It is neatly tucked away, taking up little room. Being an older person, I appreciate the fact that the Dyson is lightweight and easily maneuvered. It is light enough that when the head is removed and used separately, makes cleaning our carpeted stairs easier than ever. In summary, I love my Dyson, and would recommend that the extra cost is well worth it. You will save yourself the frustration of purchasing multiple machines which are not effective. and which will end up costing more in the long-run. My only regret is that by thinking of the cost I was actually denying myself the "pleasure" of a cleaner home. I don't worry about how much our beautiful dog sheds, and can enjoy her playful personality. ... show more

One of the best investments I’ve purchased recently. It’s super light weight, suction is out of this world, the air feels so much cleaner after one use and it’s extremely easy to dump. Also super satisfying to see how much it gathers in a short amount of time. At first I wished the battery life lasted longer, but that was because I had it on turbo the whole time. But I’ve learned when I need to use turbo vs not and I’ll switch h back in forth (which is super easy) and it will last for the full upstairs and the steps and some of downstairs before it needs charged again. I have a 2,500 square foot home. I also have 2 motorized vacuums in my house, but there is nothing like a Dyson! It just does the job so much better, especially on carpet. I also have a golden retriever that sheds a ton, and a cat! So I love all the different attachments to clean everything, but just the floor. Totally worth the money! And the fact that it’s cordless and light weight makes it so easy to clean! ... show more

I’ve been holding out on buying a Dyson for YEARS. I thought there’s NO WAY a vacuum should cost that much more over other vacuum cleaners. How much of a difference could there be in suction? Especially once other brands came out with a knockoff vacuum, right? WRONG I won’t name the three other brands I bought and tried and used for years. They each did a decent job of vacuuming. I will say what I love about the Dyson and why I won’t go back to another brand. I live with my husband in a 1500 sq ft home along with an elderly small dog and a cat. First; the suction. Wow, I am amazed at the crap I got up even after I vacuumed with my old vacuum. Great suction and easy dumping canister. My floors look great. This even got up dog hair from an area carpet. Second; the sound. I have multiple hearing issues. Certain pitches and decibels can really annoy me. The Dyson has low amount of noise. It doesn’t have that high pitch that can sound like fingernails on a chalkboard or screaming to me. The Dyson was a pleasure, the sound is almost gentle. If you HATE the sound of a vacuum, you might try Dyson. My ears are happy. Third; the weight. It is very very light weight. Super easy to move around and swivel. Crazy easy to get into corners and behind furniture. An absolute breeze to handle. Fourth; battery time. Lasted long enough for me to vacuum all the floors in my house. Lastly; quality. Quality parts, switches, buttons, brushes, etc. All are of great quality. I expect this vacuum to last for a very long time. So pleased. ... show more

I love the lightweight convenience of having this handy little vacuum at the ready at all times. We are often and visited by our granddog in our room and he sheds a lot! battery life 😨 s short on max power. Having the availability of multiple batteries may be helpful. This unit has one attached battery. however just plug it in when you're done after letting it rest for a while and get after it the next day. I use it everyday for n my small area ( carpet)and I am amazed about how much dust dirt and dog hair that I get even after constant vacuuming. Works on the laminate and tile also. I have noticed my husband (who has asthma) is sneezing and coughing a lot less since I bought this unit and have begun to use it on a daily basis. I purchased a whole bunch of other accessories to go with it so that I can clean small areas Windows drawers etc and I am looking forward to seeing how that does. Overall don't waste your money on the cheap ones get something good, like this unit. Love it! ... show more

I have went through a few vacuums trying to find the perfect one for hardwood floors because every other vacuum i have bought always either shoots the crumbs back out onto my feet or the crumbs just completely falls right back out as soon as i think I've vacuumed it all up. So i decided to splurge on a vacuum so that maybe i would actually find a good vacuum for once, and here it is. I'm in love. You can actually feel it suction to the floor when you switch from low to high. Now i will say the battery doesn't last too long but thats the only downside for me. But it's still worth it! I was able to vacuum my living room, hallway and one bathroom before it died, so that's still not too bad. I give it 5 stars! ... show more

This vacuum is very easy to use. Bring able to clean it out with ease really helps with power odor. When it is on max the battery goes pretty fast, but on the regular setting it gets the job done. Very glad I made this purchase.
