I absolutely love my Dyson Airwrap Multi-Styler! It’s truly a game-changer for anyone who wants salon-quality results at home with minimal heat damage. I have long, fine hair, and this tool gives me smooth, voluminous blowouts and soft curls that last—without frying my hair. The learning curve is real, but once you figure out which attachments work best for your hair type, it becomes quick and easy to use. The new barrels that switch airflow direction are a huge improvement over the old version. It’s definitely an investment, but for me, it was worth every penny. My hair looks healthier, shinier, and I’ve cut down on how often I need to style or wash it. Highly recommend it if you style your hair often!

Color: Complete Long for Straight to Wavy Hair ...
I see a lot of people not thinking this works for fine, straight hair, but it does. It’s a matter of figuring out what combo of hair products works for you (I use hairitage curl enhancing foam, tresemme extra hold mousse, not your mother’s beach babe texturizing spray, and hairspray, everything inexpensive and purchased from walmart ). I use a golf ball size dollop for the mousse, half of that for the curl foam, both in wet hair and brushed through with a paddle brush. I took a shower prior to using this and shampooed only. No conditioner (no leave in either), whereas I normally would. I used the drying attachment to get it mostly dry (wet to touch, but dry enough where you could leave the house in a hurry), then I section. I use the texturizing spray (lightly or it’ll be crunchy) over a section, curling in half inch wide pieces. Larger pieces won’t curl. After each section is done, I spray with hair spray. I don’t brush out until I’m done, and instead of turning the air wrap off to pull the curl out, I let it go while it’s still on so it tightens the curl even more. I continue this way until all sections are done. I had accidentally used it on the lowest heat section the first time I used it so the curls were loose and only at the bottom so I went and re curled some pieces on high (my normal heat setting) towards the top to balance it out. I’m going on four hours and my hair has more body than it usually would by now. There’s also far less frizz and the curls settled better. Some people may have even better luck with wrapping each curl around a curler until the hair has completely cooled. I haven’t tried that method yet, since not doing it worked great for me. Other tips: If you have extremely long hair, the weight of the hair is going to pull down a curl regardless of hair weight. I cut my hair right before doing this (length is about mid chest, with layers) so I’m not sure how it would have worked before (similar length but no layers). You may need shorter hair to get the curls you want. The air wrap can still produce great volume with little effort! The air wrap is not going to curl your hair for you. Yes it’s expensive. Yes, some of you expect to be able to style with no effort. Not everyone is that lucky, and some of us (me included) have to do some of the work. Play around and figure out what works the best for you. It does take a bit of a learning curve! General pros: It’s lightweight! I cracked my wrist almost clean across a decade ago, so repetitive movement creates easy strain, which hurts. I can’t speak for those with arthritis, but this device is significantly lighter weight than most styling devices. It took me an hour to get my hair done, and there was no arm weakness/strain, nor any pain in my wrist. The case. I like that the device and attachments have their own slots. Everything tucks away nicely and neatly, and all pieces fit perfectly inside (as in, there’s no angry rearrangement because I can’t get the lid on). Variety of attachments! I’ve spent most of my life trying to find some sort of hair device that will make my hair pretty (those of you can go have annoyingly straight hair understand this lol). This replaces two of my curling irons, replaces my hair dryer round brush, and replaces a hair dryer. It works great to dry fine hair without it becoming a tangle fest. Cons: So far, the Coanda effect is a pain to learn. The airway refused to grab my hair if I picked up chunks that were too big. Once it was on, it was on, but I did have to play with the fan settings sometimes to get it to wrap my hair. I wouldn’t say this device is for “long” hair (at least not if you’re asking anybody who does have long hair). I think the length my hair is at now would be considered long-medium. Anyone who has longer hair would probably benefit from hair rollers, whether that be alone, or after using this device for an initial curl. The cooling shot is also the power button. While on, push that button up. I feel that it should have been added to the temperature options since it’s such an easily missed feature.

I bought the Dyson Airwrap™ Multi-Styler Complete Long for my wife—and now I’m apparently a genius. She’s used it almost every day since and won’t stop raving about it (or her hair). So here’s the breakdown from our household’s new Dyson convert: She has long, thick hair, and this version with the longer barrels makes a huge difference—less time, better curls, and fewer do-overs. It smooths, volumizes, curls, waves…basically, it replaces half the bathroom drawer. Why it’s great: Multiple attachments, endless styles Curls with the barrels, smooth blowouts with the brushes, volume with the round brush—it’s all in one sleek setup. No extreme heat The built-in heat control tech keeps temps in check, so it doesn’t fry hair like a flat iron or curling wand. Quality and design Everything clicks into place magnetically, the case is gorgeous, and it feels solid in your hand. Dyson didn’t cheap out here. The reality check: There’s a learning curve Watching the YouTube tutorials is practically a requirement. Getting curls to wrap the right direction takes practice—and maybe a few deep breaths. It’s expensive No way around it. But if you’re using it often, the cost per use starts to make sense—and it replaces multiple tools. Lots of parts Keep the case nearby, because the attachments multiply quickly and you’ll want to stay organized. ✅ Makes styling easy (once you learn it) ✅ Long barrel version is perfect for long/thick hair ✅ Hair looks smoother and healthier ✅ Comes with great storage case ❌ Not budget-friendly ❌ Learning curve for new users Final verdict: If you (or your partner) love styling their hair and want to ditch the heat damage and clutter, the Dyson Airwrap is the ultimate upgrade. It’s a luxury—but a functional one that actually gets results.

This arrived in very nice box and a hard case, looks very gift ready, high class, and professional. I was so excited to get this set and was so eager to try it. When I first tried it, the attachments did not seem to snap into place with a click. I had to push a bit harder to keep it in place. This is true for all the attachments. Then, when I tried to use the air wrap like it will automatically suck my hair strands and give it a nice curl, it didn't. It was blowing it opposite direction instead of sucking it into the barrel and wrapping it for a nice curl. After a few struggling uses, I figured it was my misusage or maybe my hair type that is not suitable for this. I later discovered that I received a defective unit! The real Dyson hair wrap is supposed to be capable of wrapping and sucking hair strands in from inches away without a problem and give a beautiful curl within seconds! Mine obviously did not do that. The noise level is just like any other blow dryer so it is acceptable, but for the price I paid and the issue I was having, I didn't want to put up with it. Returned it eventually. I know my friend told me that a real working Dyson hair wrap should not function like how mine does, and that gave me the confidence to say that I received a defective unit.
