    • Replacement Power Cord worked from my Dyson
We had a bad power cord on our DC25 Dyson vacuum and this cord worked great once replaced. The switch out is not easy and a vacuum repair shop will probably cost you a couple hundred dollars, but if you use YouTube and take your time, the replacement can be done by yourself in less than an hour. You may need some electrical connectors and tools (wire cutter) for < $25 that are easily found here on Amazon, but still cheaper than taking it in to a shop! ... show more

    • Possibly just a generic vacuum cord replacement
Having to buy the 3/16" terminals was frustrating, and an extra $6. My main complaint is about the cord. My original cord said 16 gauge. The replacement says 17 gauge. I'm not worried about safety, but I question if this is a genuine Dyson part.

Not the same cord that was on my dyson

    • the cord had clips and it was a simple replacement
This was to replace the cord on the 15 years old DC 17, which my puppy decided to chew off. The cord had came with some clip on there, it was a bit smaller than the originals, but I was able to clamp them together and put into the plastic clip holder that was there. It is working as it did before. The hardest part was to take the cover off because of the small plastic holders on the bottom, which i end up breaking. ... show more
