I bought this 2 years ago to use on my V6 Dyson and it works great! The included tool makes it easy to remove from the motor head. Worth the money to make your Dyson V6 work like new again. I initially bought it because it looks difficult to take it all apart to clean after watching a YouTube video, lots of parts. After installing the complete new part, I took the old one apart and cleaned it.     • Perfect Fit For My Dyson V6 Motorhead DC 59
7/10/22: Arrived yesterday, came in a box with a Dyson mfg. label, and included the removal tool and instructions. Process was super easy. Take the old one off using the tool then put the new one on. Very quick, very easy. Feels like a brand new Motorhead with as much suction as a new one out of the box. Color me purple and very happy! I bought my Motorhead elsewhere in Jan. of 2016. I have worked it to death, asking a lot more of it than is reasonable, and it never lets me down. I did have to change the wand at one point because the electronics stopped working but probably my fault from dropping the wand. I also broke the bin latch so I replaced that. Add to that this cyclone because I original one is in desperate need of a good clean under the netting part. In all I've spent about $100 in replacement parts to keep it running well. And now I will have a spare cyclone for cleaning time. Great deal! ... show more

    • Saved our v6 from going into the trash
Our Dyson v6 took an unfortunate drop and a big portion of the cyclone broke. I glued back what I could, and my wife duct-taped it as well. The suction was not as good and I had given up on it and went out and bought a v10. With the v6 just sitting in the corner for the last year I had gotten to the point where I was going to toss it out (a local vacuum shop quoted something like $150 to repair). I accidentally stumbled onto this replacement cyclone while looking for the airwrap for my wife, and at $30, I figured I'd give it a shot. The color of our old cyclone was fuschia and this one is a a dark gray and purple. The gray does match the gray on the v6, but it doesn't clash either. A tool was included for removing the old cyclone, which broke again when taken off. After a little cleanup, I had this new cyclone on and tried using it to clean the coach - It works perfectly. All in all, even with cleaning the broken and stuck pieces of the old cyclone it took about 10min total. Highly recommend buying this - it's given new life to a still great device (I ended up replacing the battery with a larger one and the v6 is now better than new). ... show more

The actual item is as advertised and works well .It was changed as soon as i checked it closely as the packaging very bad.I could see before it was taken out of the plastic that the box inside was out of shape.Upon opening the package i did consider just returning immediately. However after close inspection it was obvious the item was undamaged.So i installed it immediately to see if it worked.it does flawlessly .The box was Dyson part label so its real but i really think the seller could improve the package quality,maybe it would add to the price if they did so i guess i would recommend the seller after all it is returnable .Yeah good deal all in all. ... show more

Everything was great and easy to install.Also the price was good and I don’t have to disassemble and clean the old one now.I can do that later if I want.I have had this vac about 10 years and it is like new now.Thanks for your support.I’m a happy customer.

    • Easy to install fits and works great
I've had my vacuum since 2016 and it started to smell like my dog. I replaced the filter on the top, cleaned the canister container, but that didn't work. I replace this and cleaned the canister and fixed that fixed the smell. It was so easy to replace parts and now it's like new! The part was shipped in the manufacturer's box so it is original not a knock-off. ... show more
