We have a fenced in pool area that my wife likes to sit at night with her little propane fireplace. I told her I wanted to add a new spotlight by our pool filter so I can see when I'm doing stuff by the filter... She said that's fine as long as the light isn't on all the time... she likes it dark out there..... Needless to say I had ordered 16 of these to place atop the 6 foot high vynal posts around our pool without telling her.. Fast forward two days and I find myself with a free hour while she takes the dog for a long walk. I figured I could get them installed and she wouldn't even notice them until they came on that night.... (WRONG) She really surprised me when it only took her about 15 minutes before she noticed them and says I told you I don't want any lights out back.... After a brief discussion... I assured her if she didn't like them I would take them down and give them to one of our kids. Later that night when it got dark enough for the lights to come on she explained to me how she afraid with 16 lights going around the pool that it would look like the Star ship Enterprise... Needless to say she loves them and said now I have to buy another set for our sons house. As far as why I only gave them 4 stars is the base they give you is only 1/4 inch high and on a vynal post that doesn't give you much space to screw in to... If they made them about a 1/2 inch they would get 5 stars.

These are great accent lights for use on a pole. I believe these can be used on a 3-1/2" x 3-1/2", or 4x4 or a 6x6. I ended up throwing out the extra brackets for the larger poles. These lights stay lit for most of the night, and they look absolutely beautiful. They were easy to install too, and if I need more I will definitely buy the same product.

They are very cute and very much look like a firepit or fireplace would. They are larger at the base than my 5" fence posts but a piece of strong 2 sided tape keeps them in place. They last up to 8 hours at night dependent on how much sunlight they received during the day. Not as bright as I would like but I love the look.

If you buy these lights without a protection plan that's your fault. You know as well as I do they aren't going to last. Just buy the protection plan and use it. These things rock. Look at the picture from 6 Am. They literally last sunset to sunrise.
