  • Great heater at a good price!
Size: 80,000 BTUs
Outstanding heater, highly recommend it. Not as loud as the old heaters I have had in the past. Thermostat works great, heats a 30 x 50 x 12 with no problems. Only smell is at start up and shut down. I use diesel fuel and it runs just fine, not really had the opportunity to see what fuel consumption will be yet. Hopefully this will last a long time! ... show more

  • Get it!
Size: 50,000 BTUs
10 hours of heat on one tank of fuel. Noise not bad, can talk over it without yelling. Works great in our open air shop. I did a lot of research and this heater passed all the tests.

  • Literally the sun
Size: 135,000 BTUs
The media could not be loaded. I’ve only used it once so far in about 55°F weather, but the heat this thing puts out is ridiculous, my garage was about 60°F and I turned it on high for about 70 seconds just over a minute, and the temperature went from 60-82 in that time, and my garage has a leaky roof and no barely to no insulation, granted this is rated for 3200 square feet and my garage is about 900 square feet but still, I’m excited to use it in winter, also I used home heating oil and there was barely any smell and the smell that did come out I didn’t mind at all, I don’t know the exact wattage, but it doesn’t use much power I was able to run this on. The same breaker is two 1500 W electric heaters no problem just to test how much energy it used, it’s definitely pretty big and heavy but it’s only wheels so it’s not bad to move around, putting it together wasn’t terrible. The instructions were a bit confusing, but I was able to figure it out in the end, it is loud, so beware of that, however, the high and low function is very useful. Put it on high to heat up quick keep it on low to save fuel, but keep it warm, all the buttons and dials work as intended the cover over the dials and electronics wasn’t perfectly centered so I had to take it off and resent it, but it wasn’t hard as it was just for Phillips screws, other than that, it was pretty good and no it does not come with a remote control. I’ve only use it three times for a few minutes so I don’t know how good it lasts or how the fuel usage is yet but I will update if anything happens and I will update on how fuel usage is etc. So far, I highly recommend it, worth the money! ... show more

  • Good buy
Size: 80,000 BTUs
I have a 30x40 metal shop spray foamed 1” closed cell. This heater will heat it up to 74 within 5 minutes and shut off. (Temp outside 59) I am impressed so far, yes it’s noisy but that’s to be expected. No smoke

  • Well satisfied.
Size: 80,000 BTUs
Finally replaced my 37-year-old Homelite 100,000 BTU. With this heater. What a difference. Practically no smell compared to what I'm used to. Really quiet compared to what I'm used to. Fire's right up and shuts down no smoke. I will only use K1 kerosene in it. I'm sure the other fuels will work but not burn as clean. I would recommend it highly. The only downside is no wheels. Not really heavy but I'm getting older. I used an old creeper that I didn't like in the first place as a permanent place to keep it and make it easy to roll around. ... show more

Works perfectly… it has a thermostat that my old one didn’t and has keep the garage a constant temperature….

  • Great little heater
Size: 135,000 BTUs
It was actually cheaper buying it from Amazon than it would have been if I ordered it from Northern tools website. It has worked great, it's a little smelly on low, but on high it burns off all the stink, so I just leave it on the high setting. The thermostat is a great addition. It's smaller than my last heater that the tank rusted through in, but it heats my garage about as fast as the old one. To be fair, there's probably 50k-75k BTU difference between my old one and this one. ... show more

  • Excellent quality - Purchased another one too
Size: 135,000 BTUs
Excellent quality. Very satisfied with this heater. Been using it for a couple months now. I live in Texas so my winter is rather mild, but on those days it does dip into the 40's, 30's and even a few days in the 20's, this heater has been great. I used to have a propane heater and this one is by far 10 times better. thermostat works great. I get great gas mileage. I use diesel and the specs say it uses about 1 gallon per hour of use, but mine is somewhat better than that. The first week I used it for just under 9 hours of use (not counting the off time between thermostat cycles) and it only used 1/2 tank (5 gal) of diesel. I am told it wold get better mileage with kerosene, but I have not tried kerosene since that is harder to find down here. My shop is about 50'x30' and this heats it up pretty nice. when the temp outside is about 45, it takes about 15-20 minutes to heat the shop up to about 65. Update: Here we are 3 years later and the heater is still working like new-Perfect. I like this heater so much, I purchased another one. The 135K btu works great in my larger shop, but I needed one for my smaller shop (less than half the size of the larger). So I purchased the 50,000 but unit. Just as I was with the larger unit, I am not disappointed with the 50K. Works perfect and heats up the shop in about 30 minutes to the point that I can turn it off for a couple hours. This shop is about 12'x30'. If anything should change in the future I will return here to update this review. ... show more
