  • Great heater at a good price!
Size: 80,000 BTUs
Outstanding heater, highly recommend it. Not as loud as the old heaters I have had in the past. Thermostat works great, heats a 30 x 50 x 12 with no problems. Only smell is at start up and shut down. I use diesel fuel and it runs just fine, not really had the opportunity to see what fuel consumption will be yet. Hopefully this will last a long time! ... show more

  • Greast heater and the price is right,
Size: 80,000 BTUs
Thing works great. Brings the area I'm working in my barn to a comfortable temperature. lowest outside temp I've used in is around 5-10 f, and I generally end up turning off the heater because it's getting to warm. Have been using diesel instead of kerosene because so much easier to buy. Was initially afraid of the smell especially on clothes etc but has not been an issue, so diesel it is going to be, ... show more

  • Literally the sun
Size: 135,000 BTUs
The media could not be loaded. I’ve only used it once so far in about 55°F weather, but the heat this thing puts out is ridiculous, my garage was about 60°F and I turned it on high for about 70 seconds just over a minute, and the temperature went from 60-82 in that time, and my garage has a leaky roof and no barely to no insulation, granted this is rated for 3200 square feet and my garage is about 900 square feet but still, I’m excited to use it in winter, also I used home heating oil and there was barely any smell and the smell that did come out I didn’t mind at all, I don’t know the exact wattage, but it doesn’t use much power I was able to run this on. The same breaker is two 1500 W electric heaters no problem just to test how much energy it used, it’s definitely pretty big and heavy but it’s only wheels so it’s not bad to move around, putting it together wasn’t terrible. The instructions were a bit confusing, but I was able to figure it out in the end, it is loud, so beware of that, however, the high and low function is very useful. Put it on high to heat up quick keep it on low to save fuel, but keep it warm, all the buttons and dials work as intended the cover over the dials and electronics wasn’t perfectly centered so I had to take it off and resent it, but it wasn’t hard as it was just for Phillips screws, other than that, it was pretty good and no it does not come with a remote control. I’ve only use it three times for a few minutes so I don’t know how good it lasts or how the fuel usage is yet but I will update if anything happens and I will update on how fuel usage is etc. So far, I highly recommend it, worth the money! ... show more

  • Great product!
Size: 50,000 BTUs
This heater heated my garage from 35 to 60 degrees in about 30 minutes. The cons, it has no thermostat which I thought it did but that's OK. Many of these have inaccurate ones anyway so I have an external, in-line thermostat on the way that I can place higher up to control room temperature better. It arrived well packaged and undamaged but the initial start-up, it ran for about 30 seconds and shut off. It did this every time. After some troubleshooting using the manual, I found that the pressure was too high. This model has no pressure Guage as well so I just kept turning it down in increments until it stayed on. Now it works great but when it gets too hot, I have to shut it off. Bearing this in mind I would still recommend this product. Kerosene is recommended but since diesel is about ten bucks a gallon cheaper, diesel it is and it runs great. ... show more

  • Heats quickly
Size: 80,000 BTUs
Awesome product so far. Heats my 30x30 by 15 degrees in 7 mins. I use kerosene there is a slight smell but was expected and not overwhelming. I use it to bring temp up til I get my wood stove going. I don't run it constantly.

  • Replacing a defective part became an additional expense to get it running.
Size: 135,000 BTUs
To bad there is no zero rating. It arrived in a sealed box, and seems new. I put together the handles, added 5 gallons of new kerosene, plugged it in, set the thermostat, and flipped the switch to on. The fan started, and sounded like its blades were hitting metal. There was no ignition, and it shut down automatically. I opened the case and found that the metal fan had gouged a long scratch in the torpedo shroud. The inside of the tube, by the way, is only lightly dusted with paint, with uncovered metal visible. I straightened the bent blade, and tried again, but still no ignition. At least there was no metal contact this time. I checked the igniter gap and it is good, and seems positioned correctly relative to the fuel spray tip. Reassembled, and still no ignition. If I ever get it running, I will need to add more fuel. That’s hard since the fuel fill opening is under the tube assembly. There is limited access to pour cleanly from a container without making a mess, so be sure to refill outdoors, and then hose the spilled fuel off the tank before wheeling it back inside. If you don’t it will drip fuel along your path as you tilt it to roll it. If purchased from a local store, I would have already returned the heater. The on line purchase makes this far more complicated, since it has fuel in it now. EDIT - Sent email to company, received response three days later. Then came a chain of 7 emails as I was required to send more and more information, much of which was simply a repeat of information already submitted. There was no single person handling my case, so every response seemed to be answered by a new person, who followed the stall the anxious customer protocol very well. Finally they supposedly shipped a replacement for the defective part, but with no sense of urgency. In the meantime I have purchased the part elsewhere, at my own expense, and installed it, and the heater is running. It is a good thing I have some mechanical skills, or a trip to a shop would have been needed, along with additional labor costs. The lesson to be learned is to buy items like this heater locally, not on line. As for me, I will avoid the Dyna-Glo brand, and will share my poor experience with the brand. ... show more
