    • Solid professional quality stand. Can go low, perfect for a ride cymbal.
Just great. Super stable, holds all my rides, some pretty heavy 4000g+ 22 inch cymbals rock solid. I hit pretty hard and I have no doubt this can take it. Always wanted a stand that would go lower, specifically for my ride cymbal when I play in a single rack tom (4 piece) configuration. Gets plenty low. Perfect placement of memory locks. This has DW quality and ingenuity throughout. Its pricy but worth it for a lifetime stand. I could see this still being used decades from now. I have other DW stands I've owned for 30+ years and they still do the job as well today as they did when they were new. ... show more

    • fantastic ride stand.
picked this d w stand for the saime reason most drummers do.they know d w hardware is one of the best made.9700 is the heavy duty of their hardware.just be aware that this stand is designed for heavy ride cymbals.it still has the saime hide away boom arm design so if you do want your ride to sit a littel higher can make into straight.no exstention past the base except for boom arm.so it sits a little higher than floor tom.this cymbal stand was made for heavy ride and it is perfict for that job very well made heavy duty.you can also get the counter weight add on if you have 24 or 26 inch cymbal.d w sells counter weight separately. • Excellent Stand
Quality you'd expect from DW. These stands are a bit on the heavy side, but that's what I want. It's great not to worry about cymbals blowing over when performing outdoors in wind. This will last a lifetime.

This is the stand for ride cymbal use. If you're like me and prefer your ride just above the floor tom, then buy this stand now. Just know the 9000 series are very heavy duty, I wouldn't want to lug this to gigs, but for home use, it's perfect. In the pictures it's holding a 20" Zildjian A rock ride. ... show more

    • DW FTW
You literally cannot go wrong with DW. Worth the extra cost. Super sturdy. Super sexy. It’s the best of the best.

    • Perfect for ride cymbal
Awesome stand, especially for your ride cymbal as it sits a bit lower than your typical boom stand. Very sturdy. Only knock is the bottom stand is very thick, so it's kinda tough/impossible to connect your standard accessory arm onto it.

    • Ultimate Cymbal Stand
Solid, built for life, cymbal stand for the serious studio/gigging drummer. Yes, it's expensive for a piece of hardware, but it is as solid as it gets, and has memory locks in every spot imaginable, so set-up is made that much easier.

    • The perfect ride cymbal stand

Rock solid stand! Used with my Sabian AA Metal-X ride, and with me being a hard-hitter, I could not ask for more - it does not move. Its actually more stable than a Gibraltar rack for me. Perfect!
