Pearl has made an excellent quality stand at a reasonable price. It is a great match to the CenterStage kit that I bought at the same time for my first set of drums. I had owned a Pearl snare stand for a few years and it also is of sturdy build and a fine finish on the hardware and rubber parts.

This is by no means a heavy duty stand. Would not recommend booming heavier cymbals. Would not recommend mounting a heavy tom on them. As straight stands they're great for any cymbals, as booms they are great for lighter cymbals.

I have one of these holding up my 14x14 floor tom while sporting a 20 inch ride with ease. I crash on the ride hard as well and it holds solid. Same with the floor tom it holds up. Didn't even have to angle the foot under the tom like with most lightweight stands.
