Needed a quick replacement, sorted through the reviews and selected this PDP 800 Series 2 Leg model. It arrived well packed, no damage. Set up was straight forward, with the typical adjustments available for cymbal height, foot pedal spring pressure, and bottom cymbal angle. The clutch mechanism looks to be a tried and true design, the extended foot pedal is a plus, but what really made me suprisingly happy was the fact that this is a ""2 Leg" model. Never had one like that before. It allows you to swivel the 2 legs without affecting the stability. You can easily place this hi-hat any where without the legs getting caught on cymbal stands, snare drum stand, etc. Very Versatile! Love it! Worth the minimal investment! 5 stars! ... show more

This is the perfect solution for my positioning issue with my double bass pedal. Still perfectly sturdy and works great. Definitely recommend if that third leg on your current stand is in the way.

The stand itself is great. Despite only having two legs, when positioned correctly, it’s actually very sturdy. Didn’t have any issues the first couple times I used it. However, I played one show with this stand in my kit, and the plastic clamp part of the clutch completely broke off inside of the cymbals mid-set. I tore down my kit after our set and the plastic part fell right out of the cymbals as I was packing up. If you’re in a pinch and need a stand quickly, then this is a great choice. However, if you play loud, heavy music and need a stand that will keep up with you and not break mid-set, I’d probably recommend any other product over this one. ... show more

This hi-hat stand really is the best I have ever had. Its stability and solidity are perfect, just as it had three legs instead of two. Of course, as it has two legs, you have nothing on your way while playing with a double bass pedal, besides those legs are also turnable, which easily allows you to put an addictional pedal on its left, maybe with a bell or a tambourine. The pedal, chain driven, is very large and it has sensitivity regulation. I use my hi-hats pretty low, but this stand may be regulated also higher than most others. Finally, the price is a steal comparing to other hi-hat stands with its characteristics. I strongly reccommend it to all double bass pedal’s players out there. ... show more
