  • lightweight and durable
Style: Cymbal Stand
carrying around my cymbals and stands with my drums are so heavy that anything to lighten the load in appreciated. Bought one and it worked so well that I purchased 3 more. They fit well in my travel case and for traveling to gig and rehearsals are nice because of the strength and weight.

  • Super light, strong stand for single cymbal use
Style: Cymbal Stand
I really like these stands. I bought the full set previously and wanted to add another cymbal stand. The C channel base is lightweight and strong. It will support any cymbal with no trouble. Just be careful about adding attachements because the light weight doesn't offer a lot of tip resistance if you have an unbalanced boom arm clamped on. I would not recommend using the base as a yamaha double tom mount upper section because the stand neck can be seen flexing under the weight. I got through the gig but went back to just using it for one cymbal. These stands are noticeably lighter than regular steel stands and for most single cymbal use, they are my go-to stand to keep the wight down in the bag. Also, I used it to mount an ipad clamp for certain shows where I needed a stable stand up high to be in line with the music director. I highly recommend these! ... show more

  • Don’t skimp on your health.
Style: Cymbal Stand
If you’re gigging a lot you need to think about your health and body. My sciatica could not handle lugging heavy hardware as frequent as I do. It’s not the cheapest to buy the bundle but believe me it is worth it! Unless you actually felt how light these are you wouldn’t believe it. So I needed one more cymbal stand and I couldn’t just use an older stand I got because I am spoiled by how light these are. So I spent the money to get an extra stand. • A must for the gigging drummer
Style: Cymbal Stand
Light weight, a must for a gigging drummer. The satin finish doesn't show fingerprints and scuffs, you can use a marker to mark your settings.

  • A game changer!
Style: Cymbal Stand
Finally a drum manufacturer that gets it! Hardware is heavy, but for gigging and non-gigging drummers this is a blessing! The lack of weight is insane! Thank you Yamaha for making lightweight cool looking gigging hardware!!

  • I love these stands!!
Style: Cymbal Stand
I have been using these stands for over a year now, including taking them on the road with me. They are super light, but very sturdy -- more sturdy than the DW lightweight stands (which I've often had fall over on me, or in the case of the DW snare stand having the snare lower in height as I played unless a really cranked the wingnut AND the memory lock down). I would definitely make sure you keep them in the fabric bags they come in when you put them in your hardware bag, as they legs themselves could get pretty beat up over time. I have used these on light jazz gigs as well as heavy blues and funk gigs, with no stability problems at all. I have yet to have one fall over on me while I'm playing, even some outdoor gigs in relatively windy weather. There is definitely a time for heavier duty hardware, but when you need lightweight hardware that will save your back but won't let you down on the gig, these are absolutely the best I have found so far. I am very happy with these. I have a few of the cymbal stands -- I do not own the snare and hihat from this series, but I have used them on gigs and they work well and are trouble free, and they are on my near term shopping list. ... show more
