  • Solid / durable / good looking / lightweight hardware !
Style: Hardware Package
Loading and setting up for gigs just got enjoyable. Thumbs up to this Yamaha aluminum hardware

  • Super light weight, but sturdy!
Style: Hardware Package
It’s windy in NM and I’ve played these outdoors with no issues. Physics defyingly (or so it seems) lightweight.

  • Love this whole setup
Style: Cymbal Stand
I saw these at a jazz gig in SF and tracked them down out of curiosity. The weight was attractive as I travel to rehearse twice a week and just turned 61! I bought two cymbal stands, HH and snare and went back for another cymbal stand. I have a big DW with 9000 hardware but it’s overkill for rehearsal and hard to move. I got a Sonor AQX jungle and added these stands. It all works perfectly and no issues with instability despite the very thin top tubes. Hihat spring IS fixed tension but I’ve tried it with 14” new beats and 15” mastersound customs and it all works great. They come in bags but the bags don’t last, esp the HH and so the surface does mark as they rub together in the bag. But my back is good! Can’t say enough about these! HH might creep with vigorous use but I use a carpet and kick block behind the HH and it’s rock solid. ... show more

  • Awesome stand
Style: Hi-Hat Stand
Perfect for small gigs when you want to stay light. I bought this for my Pearl Compact Yraveler kit. Been playing over 60 years. Best hi hat Ive had. Smooth action and quiet.

  • I love these stands!!
Style: Cymbal Stand
I have been using these stands for over a year now, including taking them on the road with me. They are super light, but very sturdy -- more sturdy than the DW lightweight stands (which I've often had fall over on me, or in the case of the DW snare stand having the snare lower in height as I played unless a really cranked the wingnut AND the memory lock down). I would definitely make sure you keep them in the fabric bags they come in when you put them in your hardware bag, as they legs themselves could get pretty beat up over time. I have used these on light jazz gigs as well as heavy blues and funk gigs, with no stability problems at all. I have yet to have one fall over on me while I'm playing, even some outdoor gigs in relatively windy weather. There is definitely a time for heavier duty hardware, but when you need lightweight hardware that will save your back but won't let you down on the gig, these are absolutely the best I have found so far. I am very happy with these. I have a few of the cymbal stands -- I do not own the snare and hihat from this series, but I have used them on gigs and they work well and are trouble free, and they are on my near term shopping list. ... show more

  • It does the job, with some concessions depending on your setup.
Style: Hardware Package
I ordered this as a sort of trial to see what these lightweight stands are all about and I mostly like it. Depending on your level of particularness, it may or may not be for you. -It's definitely extremely light and that's really cool if you, like me, are trying to lighten up your gig bags. -It's definitely sturdy enough for regular gigging including rock stuff. However, I did feel like I needed to expand the legs wider than usual to make it feel as stable as I'd like. I'm using a heavy Black Beauty snare with it, so your mileage may vary here depending on your snare. That said, so far I have not had any tipping or movement issues with it at gigs. -Although I haven't used it in a gig setting, it does go high enough to mount a rack tom and I suspect it would perform fine doing that, but again that base would have to be set pretty wide. -The biggest downside is, if you're used to using a snare stand where the basket can move in and out separate from the rest of the stand (like a lot of DW stands), you'll find yourself battling with your set-up a bit. It's been awhile since I've used a straight up no frills snare stand and it took some work getting it situated the way I like it. I'd find I couldn't position some other stand (tom, cymbal, etc) quite the way I was used to. But it wasn't a huge deal, just something to be aware of. If you're a double-kick player, I would look elsewhere because it will likely give you some positioning issues. Overall, I would recommend it. If you can deal with the lack of the nuanced adjustments you find in more expensive stands, it will work just fine. Would I take this on a tour with a metal band or something - no I would not. For the weekend warrior, it's perfectly acceptable. ... show more

  • 1/2 the space and 1/4 the weight of my old hardware
Style: Hardware Package
These are amazing. I can now move my entire drum set from my car to a gig in 2 trips because my hardware takes up about 1/2 the space and 1/4 the weight that it used to. I can carry this in one hand or wear it on my back. There is a little extra room in the bag, so I can fit my throne stand and tom tom mount in there too. At some point I plan to buy another Yamaha Crosstown cymbal stand, and it will fit in their too. Each stand has an individual sleeve within the bag so that they don't knock together, so my stands are not all scratched up. Everything folds down nice and compact with nothing sticking out, so the bag should last a long time too. The hi-hat stand is especially impressive with the way the pedal folds up under the legs so that it won't puncture anything or get bent or broken. If you need a standard drum kit setup with light weight and a small footprint, this is the way to go. The quality and convenience are worth the price. ... show more

  • When your hubby is a drummer
Style: Snare Stand
There's no end to what you can gift a drummer. New, lighter, better, cooler stuff comes out all the time. This isn't as light as he thought it would be, but it's lighter than his old one. Maybe someone will invent a lighter one by next Christmas.
