We bought this to get us through construction of our kitchen. It’s very high powered, and boils a large pot of water in minutes. I use it now for canning, as neither of my canners will work in my new induction stovetop. I was cautiously hopeful it would work, and boy does it! Got this for holiday cooking, I make a huge prime rib and wanted a burner for the pot of aus jus I make up . Those "keep warm" burners suck and just take up space anyways. For this review I tested it thoroughly. So, it brings cold tap water(cold cold) up very fast using the Max button on it but max isn't why I bought it. Tested with hot tap water on low and without the lid on the pot, about 3 cups of liquid. Kept it at a steady 140f and I checked every hour. at hour 1 @ 140, 50 minutes later @160f but i think it was cycling because 15 minutes later it was at 140f again. Hour 3 still at 140f But...then the burner timed out and had turned off. I most likely won't need it longer but I took the pot off the burner, physically turned it off then put the pot back on and was able to resume the low (or any other function) again no problem. Well balanced, Not tippy and worked effectively with my biggest Le Creuset Dutch oven filled 2/3 with liquid without blocking the controls screen. Looks sleek but it's very sturdy and it heats and engages a fan like a convection so not silent but my family Isn't either so...lol won't hear it anyways. Will read up on it in case there's a "keep on" type of thing I can do if needed. It's simple operation/cleaning and it has a "lock" to keep your chosen temp from changing in case the unit gets messed with or moved therefore touching the heat adjustment function. I purchased on last 2months ago, it’s ok to use. Normally I use for outdoor (backyard)cooking. Recently I start to notice that my garage light is blinking all the time when I switch on this stove. It’s nice i don’t need to buy expensive induction cookware only thing i would have like added would be is to able to see the exact temperature that I’m putting on for more delicate ingredients just nitpicking it’s a bit on the big side but i don’t mind.

Finally have a hot plate that has multiple heat settings, for better control of the cooking process. This unit is like having the glass top electric stove, but as a single burner.
