  • Exercise caution and use your best judgment before ordering during unusually hot or cold weather (below 32 degrees F, or in excess of 95F for shipping purposes), as these extremes may leave your plant vulnerable to damage. The optimal time for planting for most of our material is in mid to late spring, past the danger of hard frost. Please refer to our preferred shipping and planting guide for your area below.

Description

When you think of spring, daffodils are usually the first thing that come to mind! The very large, very showy, all-yellow blossoms of 'Dutch Master' have set Trumpet Daffodil standards for well over a century. No other variety can match it for sheer size, elegant form, and glowing color. Flowers up to 5 in. across on top of sturdy, 18- to 20-in. stems. Narcissus: These bulbs can be left in the ground after blooming to multiply over the years. If you wish to subdivide bulbs after 2 or 3 years of blooming; harvest them immediately after the foliage has died down. Divide and store in a well-ventilated, cool, dry place; then replant in the fall. Fall Zone 2, 3, 4: Early September. • Lovely and Hardy Daffodils
I planted these daffodils as a memorial garden for my cat Venus R.I.P. She crossed the rainbow bridge as wild daffodils bloomed at our former beach house. The local nursery in my current town had only a handful of daffodil bulbs, not enough for the big bloom I sought. I was concerned about ordering online, since I couldn’t see or touch the bulbs, and who knows what kind of condition they’d be in, or where they originated. I was very pleased with the batch I received from this vendor via this online order from Amazon, and have included photos of my gorgeous and prolific memorial garden. Everyone who comes to my house and/or has seen photos is impressed. My gardener is so pleased with the results that he’s sought out another section of my backyard that’d compliment the memorial garden; so he’s going to dig out the weed lawn in that area, and I’ve ordered another bag of these daffodil bulbs to plant there. I would highly recommended this product if you’re looking for lovely and hardy daffodils. ... show more

  • Product arrived clean and healthy.
This is a review of the bulbs and packaging not blooms. Just got the bulbs. They were in perfect condition. No soft spots. Good size as "advertised". The shipping box was sturdy. Bloom review will have to wait to next Spring.

  • Not quality bulbs.
When I sorted them I found 20 rotten ones. The other 75 were not robust looking bulbs but I planted them and I will know more next spring. I am not sure where the other 5 ended up. Update April 2022 I planted 30 of them on a hillside to surprise the neighbors with a burst of color. Not a single one came up. Nor did any of the 20+ I put on my horse's grave. The remainder were planted outside the senior living complex where my Mother could see them, she informs me she sees nothing of them yet. What a colossal waste of my time and money. What a disappointment. All my older daffodils are up and opening and are so pretty. I need to revise to a 0 star rating but I cannot. ... show more

  • Packaging needs to be more consistent
When you send the bags of daffodil bulbs in the net bag without any plastic covering they are fine, they are perfect with no mold and are never mushy. However, when you send them in the net bag and then put the net bag in plastic, they rot. The bulbs are full of condensation, they stink, and become mushy. This batch wasn’t as bad as some others I’ve purchased. I had to send two bags back last purchase because they were too far gone. But I keep ordering from you because when they are packaged properly they are amazing bulbs! Phenomenal value for the price, and all the bulbs I planted from you last year came up beautifully. I just wish you would stop putting them in bubble wrap or plastic wrap. I’ve received them packaged both ways now and the plastic rots the bulbs. Please don’t package them in plastic! Otherwise, without the plastic they are a wonderful bulb, and that’s why I keep coming back, I just cross my fingers each time I order they haven’t been wrapped in plastic bubble wrap! ... show more

  • Yep, they arrived in spring as promised. No duds.
I purchased these a year ago, and I waited to submit my review until knowing how they turned out. They were great! Pro tip: if you own a power washer, wrap the nozzle in duct tape so that only a tiny opening remains for water to come out. Then you can use it to dig the nice deep hole needed for each bud in literally 5 seconds (no exaggeration). (If you forget to tightly wrap the nozzle in tape, however, you will ruin the tool because grit will prevent nozzle removal.) Power dig about 10 or 20 holes at a time, laying a bulb to mark the spot on the water-filled holes. After that water drains, put the bulb in the hole and fill with high-quality fortified soil like MiracleGrow. Nearly all of the bulbs came up at the first hint of spring. A daffodils do, they were gone soon after blooming -- still worth it. Make sure to allow your daffodils to stay there untouched for at least a month after the flowers have browned and dropped off. Then cut the leaves back to about an inch above the soil. They will come back year after year. I like to plant other types of bulbs behind them so that there is a new surge of new flowers coming in as the daffodils retreat from their announcement of spring. ... show more

  • Smaller bulbs than expected
Not as advertised. The description said 10 to 12 cm bulbs, which is a size I typically buy. The bulbs I received were smaller than that. Have to see how they look in the spring.

  • Great Value
Super giant bag of bulbs. I bought one pack last year and had a great germination rate so I bought another this year.

  • Beautiful bulbs seriously overboxed
I couldn't imagine what I had ordered from Amazon when the driver brought such a huge box to my door. It turned out to be these bulbs. The mesh bag of them had been thrown in at the very bottom of the box, then covered by such a long wad of packing paper that it filled half of my recycling bin. Someone at Amazon clearly must have been moving too fast! However, the bulbs themselves are beautiful -- large, firm, and not a spoiled one in the lot. Kudos to the grower! ... show more
