The media could not be loaded. Right off the bat I'm going to say, I love this behemoth Duromax XP15000E Watt Generator even despite the engineers putting the 50 Amp plug over the wheel when they should have known that, that was the absolute worst place demanding the biggest plug and wire gauge on the grid, but I'm still going to go out on a limb a bit and give it 5 Solid Stars because it's a work of perfection with the twin V 713 cc, 23 hp; it's an all business engine. I Just rewired my house generator box from accommodating a much smaller 30 Amp max generator to this outrageous 50 Amp generator that can power my complete house and we put it to the test today and it was extremely impressive when the 5 ton Heat Pump required the watt surge, it was immediate and the Duromax barely flinched to supply it. As far as the noise, it's about as loud as a Honda lawn mower which in comparison the lawn mower has about 5-6 hp and this Duromax has 23, so the noise is extremely conservative. The quality is top notch throughout without a doubt and my hats off to Duromax for quality, price, dependability and looks. 5 Solid Stars all day long. ... show more

The generator has been good however there have been some mechanical things to work out. I first want to say that I use this generator to power my coffee trailer which holds three refrigerators, 1 freezer, an AC unit, griddle, fryer, commercial espresso machine, commercial coffee brewer, and two grinders. First, The idle was set way too high which caused it to work harder than it needed. It is VERY loud. Within the first couple months there were days it just wouldn’t start, but then the next day it ran like nothing was wrong. Be sure to be on time with oil and filter maintenance. This can cause it to be finicky. Also, after six months of use it appears as though the starter has gone bad. I don’t not recommend this generator, but I want you to know what you are getting. ... show more

Admittedly this generator is loud but aren’t they all, even so its price of just under 2k (on sale) was MUCH better than the 20k we were quoted for a generac and it will power all of what we need during an outage WITHOUT having to plug everything in with cords all around the house Would highly recommend ... show more

We unloaded it from the truck, added oil and gas to it and it would not start. The carbon monoxide light kept coming on and it prevented the machine from starting. We called about it and they said they would send us the parts so we could fix it ourselves. That required 2 parts but only one was available so it still wouldn’t start. They finally agreed to take the machine back in exchange for a new one. We waited 2 weeks and didn’t hear anything so we had to call them several times before they would refund the money. ... show more

The low review is 2-part, shipping and mechanical issue. I will keep it and if it improves my opinion, I will update my post at a later date. this was ordered for our Food trailer, and it was a last-minute order unfortunately. Amazon showed a delivery date that worked for our schedule, the unit was delivered a week late. And the shipping company totally destroyed the box. The gen survived the trip, and the parts bag was tapped to the gen. We did the set up and pretest run in my shop. Easy everything started and ran great. Took the gen to a job site, it was extreme cold outside, -15F. The gen did start pretty decent. However, I adjusted the choke too soon and that is when it went south. This seemed to have fouled the spark plugs. During the second attempt of starting using 10 second cranking intervals the starter Bendix began to kick out!! Causing no engine crank. After 5 attempts, the engine would barley sputter and the starter would disengage from the engine, by this point the included battery was discharged and I gave up. I do expect once I work through the starter issue it will be a beast as it appears to be really decent build. They even added an engine oil cooler! I was shocked to see that. My concerns with the 15000-watt gen are: 1) Starter issue. I will be sourcing a starter to keep in the truck 2)The unit did not come with jets for the carburetor. I assume like most small engines they are jetted, tuned, for sea level. My job sites are typically around 3500 feet but can has high as 7000 feet. 3) The engine oil dipstick has a nice long rubber seal which was damaged at the bottom. I had to use a razor to trim the end to it can slide into the bore. 4)Shipping was a week late and the box was completely gone. At this moment I have not contacted the manufacture, but I will be contacting them probably 1st week in Jan. ... show more
